Look like this thread is dying already. Nowadays big megastores don't even carry pioneer plasmas anymore. Have we made a right choice by purchasing a pionneer plasma?

Has anyone check the manufacturing date (for those recent purchase one)?
Are you getting a new stock or old stock?

Unlike older models, there is no free way to check the hours. You need to pay or buy a USB thing.

guys, I just recieved my kuro500a on sat, unfortunately I only discover there a green line right from the top down to the centre of the screen after the installation men left. Calling them to come down tomorrow to get it check out, hopefully they will replace it with a new set,

btw the line only appear with lighter background, so my warning to all kaki who just bought recently. Or maybe i just the unlucky one.

that mean that there no way for us consumer to know what we get unless we hv the device. Getting it at a much lower price seem like a good deal, but if getting to know it a display set, been use since last yr, really make me feel like a sucker fallen for a fake deal.:o

I really looking forward to own it, since early this year.

It already there since arrived, as it is not very visible unless behind a light color or white background. I also didn't notice it until I tested couple of movie on it.
I have to convince my wife till she agree we get it to place in the living room. and it didn't even lasted for more than a week and it already given me a problem.

This is scary... hopefully it's an one-off case and they should do a 1-for-1 replacement... keep us updated...

Unlikely.

Bro - can you take down the serial no of the unit and post it - in case they try and pass it off as new to others.

Cheers

EDIT - better yet take some pics for your own records and show us the green line...
