https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Qualcomm_Snapdragon_systems_on_chips

If really want to nit-pick, SD7+Gen2 under Wiki they classify under SD7xx series.
Form the Anttutu score. The SD7+ GEN 2 is just above my ES2200.. :censored:

I'm considering either to get a much more expensive second ES2200 powered S23FE or to get this POCO F5..

Same type of usages. No graphic intensive game plays. Just normal 3D games and MIUI / HyperOS can't beat the aweownness of OneUI 6.0...

What do you guys think?

So poco will get 2 yrs os updates and 3 yrs security patches. So what does it mean for the consumers? After 3 yrs should stop using the phone? Almost close to 3 yrs everyone will dump it in used sets market?

Must of us who hang around here would have changed to a new phone after a year.

So, it's not really a concern at all about how many years of OS and Security updates.

I never expect yearly change for my use case and really want to save money on phone. Not sure if it's correct move to switch from Samsung (more years of updates) to poco.

If it's me, I will try diff brand, model & OS instead of buying same device twice.

Have bought OnePlus for my family member. Oxygen OS really like stock Android, very clean interface. Bloatware apps are easy to delete if not can disable and hide it from main screen.

True!

Looking at the promo price of POCO F5. It should be the choice even though I'm not a fan of MIUI / HyperOS..

Okay folks,

I just grabbed a 8/256 POCO F5 Pro from POCO official platform since there was a promo. White in color.

Let's pray that I will like it as my secondary phone or who knows if it is good enough to be promoted to be my Primary phone.

Tbh, for the price point to performance ratio, nothing to complain. Similar performance phone from samsung easily cost twice the amount, and they even give u exysh*t processor.

Of course, the downside is the MIUI. Hence, i have the hope that hyperOS will improve things... But im on custom rom though, when hyperOS launches i will flash back to try

Yes! For that price point. It's really so much value for money.

On the other hand. Let's hope that the HyperOS reduces some of the "critical mess" of MIUI!

Occasionally or maybe it’s moi brave browser. Occasionally will restart and lose all private tabs. Iphone / ipad no issue though.
I see!

I use Chrome all the time. So, let's see how it goes when I start using the phone.

After all deductions. I paid $496 for a 8/256 White POCO F5 Pro.

Anyway, only the 8/256 model is available.

If I were to opt for the non Pro. It would be $419.
I was really tempted to get the F5 Pro but i also really wanted to try the F5 cos of how people were praising it's awesomeness as an upper mid-range chip close to 8 Gen 1
