yeah my unit totally dead after I powered it off, wasn't aware of the deadboot issue then, couldn't power back on after multiple methods and tries. Xiaomi Service Centre replaced a new motherboard for my unit, never powered it off since then, restart still ok.

Same same, after experiencing the dead boot, then realised this issue is flooded online. But given its price and spec, it is still a worthy purchase.

I received the phone two days ago, today have time took out to run it. Strange it promoted to update different firmware a few times, but all were smooth. Last was miui 14, updated, reboot. Black screen! Tried to hold volume button + power button , but nothing. Oh no....
Gurus, any solution to power the phone on?

Must calm down, you may wait for awhile, every now and then try to do recovery boot hold buttons for 1 min may be. It will awake again, good luck. If it is back to business, I would suggest do not restart, update or shut down the phone again.

After 3 days of attempts to boot up, everyday keep pressing more than 10 times, yesterday it suddenly boot up liao!
Charging, I notice it's very very slow with non fast charger, probably 1% after 20 minutes. But using the bundled charger it does charge decent fast. Is this normal?

Congrat! It is normal as normal charger can be as slow as 5w, M3 is 18w charge and the bundled charger is actually 24w.

Please advise, which buttons you press and how you press it? e.g. press and hold or press and let go... Thanks.

Press hold both power and volume up buttons 10s or until the screen comes to life. Then it will ask you to reboot or wipe data to factory setting. If nothing happens, keep doing every now and then until your M3 wakes up from the dead boot. Gd luck!

Indeed this issue should not even happen. See what the Service Centre helps with the problem. But the dead boot will probably happen again if were to restart, update or turn off the device, so try avoid doing these in future. Still a very capable device though, enjoy.

My POCO M3 black screen yesterday night while charging for 30 minutes. I check the POCO M3. It was black screen. Cannot power on. I tried to hold volume button + power button , but nothing happen. Please advise, how many times and days you tried hold volume button + power button to power on the POCO M3? I already disabled all auto updates to prevent phone auto reboot. Thanks

I am able to wake it up in 3 days and another occasion 1 day. I think it depends when the connection will jump back to normal, it seems to be a hardware issue that will not restart the phone due to overheat but will resume after a while. B patient, meanwhile, just use ur spare phone. Gd luck! ☺
