Reason why I said issue solved (or workaround) was due to this xda post

https://forum.xda-developers.com/po...screen-retention-ghosting-image-t4013875/amp/

Personally I do not have a f1 so I have no idea first hand but only can read about it.

Besides, what's more important is the user experience and in what conditions can the issues be duplicated. Also, are those issues software or hardware limited and if xiaomi can resolve them in upcoming updates.

Some of the trusted reviewers don't even mention it which makes me think GSM arena having a bad unit or something so don't make it such a big fuss until there are more data/information about this.

at least what u r saying now makes sense. my f1 is on xiaomi eu rom now, is that the prob? i can flash an aosp based rom to test if it can be fixed if needed.

No shiat. :s22: Apply dunno how many SP on electronics first time I encounter halo effect with BLACK border. I applied both pieces in case 1 is faulty, both shiat.
A lot of pre-installed apps, like 5 different shovelware games. :s22:

The points that I wanted to make havent changed except expanding some of it in more details and of course it make sense 😂🤣😁😋

In regards to your f1 ghosting issues ain't it due to custom roms? I thought the first 2 points on the xda post mentioned it.

xiaomi eu can consider custom rom?

but yea its much better now, usually my eye pain when fast scrolling on CNA app. the ghosting trails are far less perceptible now with havoc and the calibration settings.

Ya it is.. EU is cooked and optimized (like debloated, zip aligned, deodex and what not) to be as close to stock as possible.

Used for 2ish days liao. So far so good no problem. I just stick to the original phone case and screen protector, maybe will switch to a matte screen cos I'm used to it. When Spigen makes a case I will likely switch to it too.

Unstuck my pop socket from previous phone and stuck to the OEM casing. Put in 256gb (the max) micro sd also.

The diff between oled and lcd very big, takes a while to get used to. But not that bad. I saw somd discussion on ghosting, I would say ya got a bit but not that much.

Gaming wise my main games are dragalia lost and the occasional pokemon go, this one not bad I can technically run 3 pogo accounts simul on this phone to raid now (normal app, island to clone work app, then xiaomi dual apps for a 3rd pogo app). Dragalia runs great, higher speed than my previous oneplus 6.

Camera not too bad, haven't really had a chance to test out, installed a gcam I found that works with it, seems decent, if the image file size is a bit too big lol (10mb per photo damn)

Overall I would say it's been a pretty good buy so far?

but if its stock based, it should have the fixes from xiaomi integrated right? thanks for bringing light to this fix, never thought this "homemade hack" can solve this prob i had for so long.

nice, sounds like you're having a blast with it. the OLED on the op6 was a decent panel, although i only owned mine for a matter of days.

hows the battery life for you? im quite curious, esp w ur usage patterns.

I forgot how bad Xiaomi default status is after using eu ROM for so long. :s13:
Just uninstalled all the Mi Bloatware besides Google stuff using the Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools, just need to enable Developer mode and USB debugging.

Batt life quite good. Now wfh my phone nearly always on, either autoing some stage on dragalia or play yt or something like that.

Can last around one charge per day? Assuming I have the phone like 95% of the time running something from the moment I wake up till I sleep (yes phone addiction is a thing kids, don't do social media drugs)

I'm looking to get another spare wall plug/cable for office/portable use tho. Any suggestions? Or just buy xiaomi one?

Do you have a guide to do this? I want to stop links from opening in stock YouTube instead of my vastly superior YouTube Vanced
