Hey guys, i have some ques coz im a tech nub.
As i read thru this thread, some of you was discusing abt ghosting.. may I knw what is this "ghosting" is about? care to explain in lay-man terms?

2nd, why some of you installed Gcam? does this Gcam better than the default camera function?

Pixel phones don't have the best hardware camera specs but their software,gcam,is one of the best optimized camera programs. People port this app out to other phones and it does take better photos,especially night shots.
However, it's not official so needs a lot of tweaks and crashes a lot.

Stock camera works fine, don't worry too much.

It works, I just applied my spare 9S SP on X3, no halo white edges, fits perfectly. Thanks for info.

Only con is my SP doesn't have camera hole and dunno why slightly chipped at 1 corner so might break at some point.

Battery life so far looks ok on standby even if I have video wallpaper on. I do see animation stutters when minimizing or closing apps. The standard Google Discover confirm lag so I disabled that early on, using the default POCO launcher which doesn't have many features. Will monitor.

if u ask me, i rather not have camera hole.. its is a weak point.. i rather have like 5% degraded selfie camera quality than have that a weak point for dust ingress under the SP..

I don't take that much selfies anyway so don't affect me much.

Edit: O yeah, the phone vibrates, A LOT, when playing music or video at a decent volume, anyone else notices that?

Update:

I purchased on 9/9 12am and received yesterday.
The other set I bought (also on 9/9, midnight) delivered 2 days ago.
I.e. 1 received 15/9 another received 16/9.

Mini Review:
Speakers are good.
Still can feel some lag when switching apps and what not.
Haptic feedback was strong. Didn't like it initally (too strong), but I have since gotten used to it.
Battery life I drain 30% in 5 hours of initial use (downloading apps and what not). After full charge 15% gone after 15 hours of light use.
Phone heats up more than my previous phone (Redmi Note 7), not sure if due to the casing or just cos running a lot of background apps for initial download.
Fingerprint sensor needs some getting used to. Esp for people who don't grip the phone a certain way.
Facial recognition pretty much useless since will need to swipe the phone to unlock.
Poco launcher needs some getting used to. Initially wanted to find ways to remove the launcher, but got lazy.

Everything above just initial feelings / thoughts. Still have to test more to give more accurate feedback.

Hope this phone can last me at least 2 years.

Fingerprint can set all your fingers in different configurations, I have 5 fingerprints for different configuration like when I pick up or when I holding the phone.

Face unlock can set to instant unlock, Passwords & Security > Face Unlock > untick Stay on Lock Screen after unlocking.

Poco Launcher can delete with FastBoot tools but I dunno what will happen if you don't have another launcher when you remove it.

Gcam still buggy according to the reviewers, might need to wait a few months for stable versions.
