not sure why they ditch side mount fingerprint sensor. Isnt it troublesome to use screen fingerprint sensor especially you have to position your thumb exactly on the screen? Also, is the screen sensor faster / more reliable than side mount sensor?

i have poco x3 nfc, x3 pro and a 13T

after a while i think the onscreen fingerpint is better, becos u get set it to unlock with either left or right hand fingers, from different directions.

side sensor has much limited contact area and angle, especially when you have case over your phone

Yes, its much more faster and convenient for in-screen fingerprint as compared to previous iterations.
BUTTTTTTTT when it starts to have issues that is when the headache comes, difficult to repair as compared to side mounted.

Actually for mom gamers, no point for faster cpu.
Even 2022 midrange processor is sufficient.
I rather have better camera n screen

Can't trust Xiaomi. That time 2021 say 2 android update

Redmi Note 10 released as android 11 and only got 1 update to android 12
Whereas their Redmi 10 (Non-Note) released as android 11, received android 12 & 13, non-note supposed to be their cheapo range with less update.

Fact is Xiaomi bored of their smartphone market, want to expand into other sector like you see them making cars, e-scooters etc. Can't blame them, smartphone is declining stale market which peaked in 2019. They probably jelly that BYD started as a battery company and now is top global car maker and want to copy

Their entire lineup for last few years been lackluster aside from a few (X3 pro, F5 , X6 pro), but honestly that is snapdragon/dimensity giving them some obscenely overpowered SOC for that price.

You still see basic features missing(or worse deliberately stripped away base Redmi note 13 lost NFC & stereo speaker in 2024 LOL) and same trashy camera ( go look up how many phones have reused the subpar OV64B lens) ( Poco X6 is a Redmi note 13 Pro rebrand, but they stripped it's 200MP main camera for the aforementioned 64MP OV64B)

Poco X6 launches on MIUI 14 with Android 13, HyperOS update to Android 14 coming soon and eats into one count of the promised 3 Android updates, so means Android 14, Android 15 and Android 16.

Meanwhile X6 Pro launched with HyperOS with Android 14 out of the box, theoretically should have updates until Android 17 then.

Too many new fones launching at same time

prices all sibeh "competitive" and ppl spoilt for choices

Moreover

end year festive just over not nong ago

most if not all ppl wud hv bai fones during 11.11 onwards till year end promos

Foresee this X6 series sales will move quite slow in the next few mths

unless they willing "to go big" on discounts during monthly double date promo
