this was what i was going to suggest also. i think should workwhat if u debloat gmail and reinstall from playstore?
Very good question. Can try. But most likely cant also, because it will still detect as system app as the directory to install is the samewhat if u debloat gmail and reinstall from playstore?
blokada reduces batt usage overall (ads cant load) , unless you are using some buggy versionok leh.. why would the directory to install be the same? thought system apps are installed in different folders from user apps? so unless poco got some app list to say that oh a file with a particular name is considered a system app, how would they know that gmail should be installed as a system app, even if it's from the app store?Very good question. Can try. But most likely cant also, because it will still detect as system app as the directory to install is the same
No. Even if is system apps, if it is still installed on same directorywhy would the directory to install be the same? thought system apps are installed in different folders from user apps?
ok ok this is new to me. i haven't been involved with rooting, bootloader unlock, titanium backup, custom rom flashing for many years liao.. maybe things have changed with the newer android versions that if they flag an app as a system app, even if u uninstall it totally, then reinstall it from Play store or side load, it still gets installed as a system app..No. Even if is system apps, if it is still installed on same directory

u're absolutely right, forum is for learning and i did learn something new today. so i did a test with Google One.. i uninstalled it with the Xiaomi Debloat tool, then i installed it from Google Play (on hindsight i should have rebooted the phone) then Google One was installed as a system app. So there is a list that tells Xiaomi which app should be installed as a system app.No la. Yup. There is a flag to tag it as system app. But all the files are located in the same directory regardless system app or those install from playstore or through apks downloaded from apkpure etcu're absolutely right, forum is for learning and i did learn something new today. so i did a test with Google One.. i uninstalled it with the Xiaomi Debloat tool, then i installed it from Google Play (on hindsight i should have rebooted the phone) then Google One was installed as a system app. So there is a list that tells Xiaomi which app should be installed as a system app.
