Yup. Someone feedbacked about this. And it does not have any options to tweak as gmail is a system app, so u cant configure any option such as auto start or to disable battery saver
what if u debloat gmail and reinstall from playstore?

how is battery impact for blokada if run 24/7?
ok leh.. Been using it for years and it appears quite far down in the batt stats page. recently EMUI has been complaining about it that it's constantly refreshing so it recommends me to force close it. but i wont la, with it the phone is 99% ad free and it's worth it

blokada reduces batt usage overall (ads cant load) , unless you are using some buggy version

Very good question. Can try. But most likely cant also, because it will still detect as system app as the directory to install is the same
why would the directory to install be the same? thought system apps are installed in different folders from user apps? so unless poco got some app list to say that oh a file with a particular name is considered a system app, how would they know that gmail should be installed as a system app, even if it's from the app store?

No. Even if is system apps, if it is still installed on same directory
ok ok this is new to me. i haven't been involved with rooting, bootloader unlock, titanium backup, custom rom flashing for many years liao.. maybe things have changed with the newer android versions that if they flag an app as a system app, even if u uninstall it totally, then reinstall it from Play store or side load, it still gets installed as a system app..

i uninstalled gmail and use spark (closest to Inbox), you may try if it suits your taste :)
personally i don't recommend Sparks.
they download your mails to their servers and you download from Sparks servers.
Stores your credentials and emails to their servers
Sends statistical data to (Goole, Facebook) to which THERE'S NO WAY TO OPT OUT

some of the more important T&Cs

u're absolutely right, forum is for learning and i did learn something new today. so i did a test with Google One.. i uninstalled it with the Xiaomi Debloat tool, then i installed it from Google Play (on hindsight i should have rebooted the phone) then Google One was installed as a system app. So there is a list that tells Xiaomi which app should be installed as a system app.

Yup. There is a flag to tag it as system app. But all the files are located in the same directory regardless system app or those install from playstore or through apks downloaded from apkpure etc :s13:

Anyone uses their Bluetooth device to bypass the screen lock on their phone?

I am using Mi Band. Sometimes it just unlocks without prompting me to enter PIN and sometimes it requires.
