Sup guys, funny situation I got here. Just wanna clarify and see if anyone has encountered this?

- Applied for DEI in July,
- Invitation to Tea Session in Late October,
- Withdrew my application on portal a day after receiving the invitation.
- Got new invitation to tea session in December,
- Attended the tea session last week.

The reason why I rejected previously was because I was holding out for another role for a regular office job.

But out of the blue, I got another invitation and took the leap of faith by attending.

So my question is, since I withdraw my application, it suddenly appeared once again on careers@gov after my tea session. Does anyone has this kind of experience and what might be the potential outcome?

Thank you in advance guys!

Yeah, personnel replied with a short email stating that I should proceed with it. Which I did at the end of the day.

So just wanted to know if anyone had a similar encounter and what's the end results.

Maybe the question is whether you want to proceed with the application? If you do want, then you make sure you reply them FOR THE AVOIDANCE of doubt that you withdrew previously but not sure why you still get contacted and you still wish to proceed.

In case mid way through they realise that you actually withdrew and thought they made a mistake and just cease proceeding your application.

Yeah, I understand where you're coming from. Which is why I did. Was initially hesitant as the 9 months of ICT was putting me off as I'm starting a new family. But after several conversations with my partner, I decided to give it a shot since there's no harm trying.

well since you attended the tea session, the potential outcome is:

failed tea session? end of story.

passed? Move on to selection assessment.

a lot of people hem and haw over want this or want that when it is more likely SPF rejects you than the other way round. So, just go as far as you can and only when you have the offer, then you decide whether to accept or not.

Yep. There isn’t.

Not like you are sure guaranteed to be offered. And even if that’s the case you can always reject.

The only thing you need to give up until then is really your time only.

Never try sure wouldn’t get and sure don’t have to decide

Ya. Strange people. Might as well use the time to apply. Later don’t even clear first round waste so much to think also useless.

Cannot understand such people

Wow, I was offered provisional offer only in Jan this yr ahahaha urs sure is fast. Anyway...

What's left is medical, more doc submissions, and sponsorship signing.

G50 form will have to be submitted personally at the HTCC (I assume you already did because I submitted G50 before receiving provisional offer)

Other docs you have to submit includes your
1. Direct Credit Authorisation form (required for them to transfer you your allowance etc) + supporting docs
2. sureties nomination form + supporting docs
3. past and latest semester results (for the study bonus eligibility)

Once everything is done, congrats time for signing

p.s. I do hope your batch has the award ceremony or smth. I missed that cos of covid :(

edit: for CNB or SPF? tho I think the process should be similar

I was being accessed for both choices selected, cnb and spf. Was accepted for one of it

Went through exactly the processes for a newly applied DES

1. Document submission / tattoo declaration
2. Psychometric test
3. Panel interview with 6 officers and 1 HR from MHA
3.1 Submit documents and tattoo declaration again
4. Received provisional offer
5. Medical checkup few days later after signing letter of acceptance
6. TBC

All is done within 3-4 months time
