Forgot to mention A&F.

Their polos are quite good, but the fit is difficult to pull off for most people. Also, A&F does have a gay reputation

A&F does have a gay reputation

Not sure how valid is the above comment. Could be just the perception of a small group of people. I was in NYC during the Christmas week, there was a long queue outside the A&F store almost in every hour between 11am to late afternoon. I am very sure that all those who queue outside the store are not gays. LOL!

Gay reputation does not mean that the consumers have to be gay man... Its a totally diff thing.

Alright I'll prolly give a review of some peasant polos i have:

Cotton On - So far so good, wash alot times liao haven stretch or what but i dont like the fitting

Topman - quality really down, handwash also stretch like crap, now i cant wear already.

Ben Sherman - quality pretty down also, but doesnt stretch that fast.

Tommy Hilfiger - wear once and sleeve there stretched abit, havent wash tho so not sure.

Uniqlo - the material is good, wash a few times still looks the same.

Le Coq Sportif - not bad, havent really stretched after throwing in washing machine.

Anyway i realised those polos that are more comfy tends to stretch more? like those cottony kind.. whereas for those material abit hard one like uniqlo and cotton on lasts longer..

Cotton will tend to stretch. However, cotton is the most comfy.

For those polo that retain shape well, high chance it is cotton-polyester mix. Thus will typically feel "warmer" as polyester doesn't breath.

Anyone knows a good 100% cotton polo that retain its shape well? Burberry?

My Burberry polos kept its shape n cut very well. I've got one navy one white. I'm very surprised even after 2-3 years and many washes, the navy one will still bleed its color when being wash but it wont stain other clothes wash together. However the white one look slightly yellowish now, unlike the crisp white look it possess when I just bought. Any idea how to give it the fresh white color again and how to prevent it from going yellowish further?

As for Fred perry, I've got one piece that is made in uk, the shape remains but color did wear off a bit, doesn't look as fresh and new.

best way to prevent stretching is to lay flat to dry after wash

79 Pounds @ Mrporter.com

About 160 SGD, + 40 SGD shipping = about $200 (depending on exchange rate)

As mrporter's delivery is a flat 20 pounds, you might make some decent savings if you get a few more items (check out sales section, 50% Off some really good items) or do a MO. This retails for $220 at local Boutiques
