You know local unis favour JC students bah. If you come from poly, you have to be one step above JC students (means good gpa and good cca record) while JC students just need good A Level results.

No gf in poly never mind one... Life is more than about girls...

Studies and future more important. When you in uni, can think about gf.

Also in NS so much free time, can chase for gf then.

JC is 2 years of secondary school type life and you end up with a worthless A level cert.

Poly is 3 years of adult type cool funky life and you end up with a dip which you can put after your name.

JC gets first crack at U. Dunno if ethical, moral, equitable etc etc but pp make their choice and take the consequences.

At least now poly CAN get into local U unlike last time (leave aside foreign undergrads for the moment).

at first go poly, my era is tia gong only top 5% can go...so gave up le..since so many smart ppl

yr 1 sem 2...lecturers say...dunit top 5% is based on GPA...den work hard liao lo haha

Assuming you have the same number of Credit Units across all the 6 sem.

The max graduating GPA you can have is 3.3 + (4GPA *5sem) / 6 sem = 3.883
