I noticed ...now start and shut down is slow a bit ..than the previous OSX which is fast~

I'm experiencing the opposite. Boot time and shutdown are faster now compared to Maverick but apps are starting up slower.

I'm running a late 2009 Mac Mini with SSD.

If drop = cannot detect your 5GHz network, setting a static channel on the router fixed it for me.

it's the same issue i faced and explains exactly why it's happening - something to do with different region standards.

Heh a lot of users already jump ship.

"Safe" to upgrade for me may not apply for everyone else; everyone have different setup.
Same thing, a problem a user faced after upgrade may not apply to you or everyone else.

Just do your own necessary backup and try it out yourself. Even upgrading to a matured OS, I still do my backup.

5 years from now you can still ask the same question and no one can guarantee your OS upgrade is "safe".

If you hit a problem after upgrade, there's a lot of support channels for you.

I am experiencing "page cannot be loaded" on my MBP even when I am connected to my WIFI. The problem only came today.

I have no trouble using wifi on my android device.

Have you tried to power cycle the network and reset Safari? Does the issue occur on another browser such as Chrome or Firefox?

i would said that for my 2010 macbook pro which uses C2D, yosemite seem similar to maverick in term of performance. i did not do a clean install though.

yes, it does happen to people that are using the latest generation device. therefore i did not straight out recommend or not recommend you in upgrading. i took the gamble and upgrade it.

best word of advice is to backup before upgrading.

Yosimite upgrade problem

tried to upgrade MBA 2014 with Yosimite, but after download always being prompted

This copy of the Install OS X Yosemite application can't be verified. It may have been corrupted or tampered with during downloading.

Delete this copy of the application, and go to the Purchases page of the Mac App Store to download a new copy.

have problem deleting the file too. even had deleted when again install, same problem arise. Anyone can advise? Thanks in advance

After numerous trial of downloading and delete... finally Yosimite can be upgraded... working fine now......
