Trying to dl from App store, the traffic is really high, dl speed is super slow.

Make sure you're not behind a public DNS (like google's) so that it can allocate a content farm that's closer to you. I've no problems downloading it just now. Got it within 20 minutes.

not only that, status bar at the top can't switch to transparent mode... now my desktop and wallpaper don't fit...
Did you do a upgrade or a clean install?

Under accessibility -> uncheck reduce transparency.

For those who upgrade SSD, the trim currently not working or have to disable the kext signing. (A kext is a kernel extension, or a driver, in Mac OS X). Temporary I not enable the trim for my mid2012 samsung SSD.

If anyone is facing battery issues on your Macbook Pro.
Zap your PRAM.

walau, my battery don't charge, aiyah... should not have upgraded. Did PRAM reset also not working. Sian man.

What's your MacBook model?
Have you check the contacts to ensure they are clean?

Under System Information > Power. What does say about your battery condition?

Did SMC reset 1st but didn't work and then did PRAM reset also didn't work. MacBookAir 13" 2011 model if I recall correctly, now holding back Yosemite upgrade on my 27" iMac.

Hope they fixed the problem with trying to install Win 8.1 in Boot Camp via ISO and being told the system can only support Win 7. :s8:
