1. Mono
2. Print
3. around 200 per month
4. cheap and good
5. wireless

Consider fuji xerox p255dw if not brothers 2270dw. Fuji warranty cover your drum brothers don't. Drum is quite expensive. Toner pricing about the same. For fx if u buy the value twin pack will become more worth it.

Eh, not sure if it is a stupid question but do laser printers come with an initial set of toners?

Yes. But not full. Monochrome depends on brand % full different. If not will have 2 sizes toner and u will get a full standard capacity.
Color laser from what I know normally half full.

Currently studying, so need a laser printer for printing notes...

1. Mono
2. 3-in-1
3. Mostly for printing notes, about 400 per month
4. Budget: preferably <$100
5. Wireless, cheap toner refills

Qn: if my notes are quite heavy on graphics, would a mono or color laser printer be better? Tried printing greyscale on my old inkjet last time, totally can't make out what the images are.

There is no laser printer that is wireless and is below $100 in the market. Why you need wireless when you are just connecting to one user? Just use USB connection can already if you want to save cost.

If you are heavy on graphics and no budget you cant get colour laser also :< cause colour laser $300+ and onwards.

If you want cheap and you are a challenger member, go for M205b, $199 UP.

For members $189 and their promo is free $80 ntuc vouchers now so value is ard $108 which is close enough to ur budget.

Toner
Standard page yield 1k $55
High page yield 2.2k $95

Drum under warranty 4 years

Resolution highest in the market, 1200 x 1200 dpi

Ah forgot to add that I'm looking to replace my printer at home that is shared too, old one is giving problems. Thought wireless would be more convenient without all the wires.

Sadly my budget is not unlimited, so trying to get one as cheap as possible.

How's the speed of the M205b like?

Fuji Xerox M355DF

Hi,

After my disastrous experience with Samsung Laser MFC CLX-3175 FC (at the end of 3.5 years, it has been reduced to being only a flatbed scanner - fax, copy, print, ADF all out of order),
its time for me to get another MFC,
looking at :

(1) Laser Monochrome (color would be welcome but not necessary)
(2) Print, Copy, Scan, Fax
(3) Network Enabled (wireless/wired is fine) - network for BOTH print and scan required
(4) Fax to Email necessary (no fax is printed out but redirected automatically to email as scanned pdf).
(5) ADF
(6) Duplexing - print duplex + scan duplex necessary
(7) 3 year on-site warranty minimum (after my scare with Samsung - needed 2 changes of drum in 3 years)
(8) Budget : under $800

I have been looking at models, and Fuji Xerox M355DF seems to fit what I am looking for, especially love their auto duplex print /copy/ scan for its price range.
Any other suggestions for what I am looking for and any comments / reviews for the Fuji Xerox M355DF please?

Thanks!

M355df is a very very sought after model in the market. Even their compatible toners as well. (It fits all your requirement)

Usual price
Original toner
4k page yield $151
10k page yield $277

Cost per page 2.7 cents only.

Promo is free one black toner and 1 router.

(4) Fax to Email necessary (no fax is printed out but redirected automatically to email as scanned pdf). Saw that they have this function on their brochure as well:s12:

Sams as M205fw, Changi City Point Challenger now selling this is $609 instead for 10 sets only. (maybe wrong :X)

Just buy only nv seen Fuji Xerox so low before.

Hi, looking for a color multifunction laser. any model to recommend?

-color laser
-print scan copy
-duplex
-wireless
got or no adf nvm.
printing about 200-500 pages a month at least?

i dunno if i should just run two printers, one color inkjet mfc using compatible ink and another mono laser mfc. but both printers will be on 24/7, so its an issue, as a color mfc looks expensive. i took a look at canon and they were in the range of 700 and up..

i wanna find out if it's normal for brother laser to produce banding or layering kind of print out?
if you look closely at the details, u can see layering/uneven band of printing.

hooted a 9140cdn.. wondering if this is common..

thanks!

Hais.. gong xi gong xi.. I tot you getting M255z. Guess you got washed by the staff/promoter:s13: you just became the early trial tester of brother new printer.

It is very common for brother printer thus the pricing. :s22:

Anyway the positive light is you still can do return and swap a printer if you buy at reputable stores.

Just get 1x good colour laser. With your printing volume, inkjet will kill you not via inks but via the breakdown rate.

Get Fuji Xerox CM305df $799

For Canon is MF8380cdw $1099 (the $700+ one no duplex)

Brother Cheapest at $598 but you can read from below about the common problem with brother print out.
