no lor.i also don't turn on aircon often. office also same turnof at night but i guess that is sufficient for it. that is why ask got problem or not for others. he say it is a common problem with laser printers for home use so i want to know if others have a problem with their colour laser.

i though at first he bluff one so i purposely take my paper from the office to try and well it turn out to be true. the one sitting in my printer tray is faded but the one from my office is okay. now i put my paper next to my fridge to keep it warm and "dry" and so far acceptable for use.

I'm suspecting the size of the laser printer matters. how much heating is done to dry the paper before it is printed.

so if anyone have this issue or don't have it with their colour laser at home do share so we know which model we should be getting for home use. at least samsung printers have this issue from what i know.

WOAH your room air-conditioned 24/7.. But cannot be .. our office also on air-con for morning to night only at night off but also no problem.. Maybe is due to samsung.. :s13::s13:

Weird then the paper in my office should be the same as your office which also should be the same as the one at your home haha..

Anyway I am not too sure about this.. If you want, you can bring ur paper down to Comex to test :s13::s13:

1. Colour preferred (but considering mono printers as well)
2. Print
3. Printing capacity per month - 200
4. Budget - 200-300
5. Duplex

I'm looking for a mono laser printer (scan and photocopy not required), preferably with auto duplex. Printing capacity ~ 300sheets/month. Budget ~$150. Any recommendations?

Description
Toner is a dense, powdery substance with carbon black as its main ingredient. According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), toner can also contain cadmium, mercury and lead, considered hazardous substances by the EPA . The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) classifies carbon black toner as a Class-A carcinogen, meaning it has the potential to cause cancer; Health Canada also cites carbon black as a possible carcinogen.

Inhalation Danger
Because it is such a fine powdery dust, toner carcinogens are easily inhaled, causing respiratory distress and triggering asthma. Toner can also cause irritation, skin rash and eye problems if it comes in contact with skin and eyes, according to Symantec.

Allergic Reactions
In addition to contact with a potential carcinogen, toner can trigger allergic reactions in people who have sensitivities, according to Symantec. Reactions can be mild to severe.

Taking Precautions
When installing, removing or disposing of toner cartridges, or cleaning the insides of printers or copier machines, wear a dust mask and avoid contact with toner dust, according to Symantec. Try not to get dust residue on your hands or skin; wash all exposed skin surfaces after contact.

Please think twice before you DIY refill. Is the few $$ of savings worth it

IMHO, DONT BUY BROTHER COLOR laser printers. got a MFC 9320CW and the color printing is not sharp at all, despite using genuine toners that cost a BOMB. almost $400 bucks for Black, cyan, magenta and yellow! changing a set is like paying for half of this printer... a year back, it had a colour matching problem. repairman came down under the warranty, got it fixed. but after 1 year, it became bad again. this time i tried to call for servicing but i'll have to pay for their technicians to come to my house to determine if there is a mechanism fault. lady from Brother...on the phone.. said "YOUR PRINTER is 2 years old" as if telling me their printers are not made to last. cant help but say their service is CRAP. used a mono colour printer previously though, it was fine.

i now intend to use remanufactured laser toners and 3rd party repair. any recommendations? i dont know if brother will still repair, if i pay, when i use the remanufactured toners..
