Which printer brand has the most up to date software support?

I have been using HP Office Jet 6500 for the past many years and the software is bloated, clunky, buggy and killing my productivity.

I just need something simple that works.

Just a word of caution - fuji xerox svc centre (at bukit merah) will void warranty immediately if they find that you're using 3rd party toner when u bring ur printer in for warranty repair

Is this good enough for simple printing usage?

They said if the 3rd party toner is inside printer when u bring for service, or even if original is inside, when "they open up the printer and find a mess which isn't caused by original toner".

3. ~2600 page per year
4. Under $300
5. Auto duplex, & need an option to use only black toner when printing black without using the 3 colored toners (printing only black like 80-90% of the time). Low cost toners among different brands out there.

Prefer fuji xerox or canon as I came across more bad reviews for the rest.

Auto duplex then u need to up your budget already. Out of this FX and canon, only FX can print black when other 3 colour toners finish. But leave the empty cartridge inside.
