[Printer] Laser Printer questions lip lai !!!

thinking of getting a laser printer after years of using an inkjet and constantly having to change printers cos inkjets spoils easily if you don't print often. Before deciding, need to ask a few questions on laser printers.

Can they print on smooth materials like transparent films, photo or sticker paper? Occasionally need to do some craft work. Will an inkjet work better here?

If i occasionally need to print photos, will a laser printer work well or better to get a separate inkjet / photo printer?

There are some commercially available materials that are designed for printing with laser. Suggest you head to a stationery store like Popular and check it out. If it supports laser printing, it will be stated on the package. E.g., You can't use inkjet photo paper / stickers / film in a laser printer, you have to use what was designed for laser printing specifically.

I've never tried laser photo paper, so no idea how the quality is. Personally that's what I do. B/W laser for text/documents, inkjet for photos.

Most welcome. I only have personal experience with b/w laser.

I'll leave to the colour laser experts to comment on the CM215fw.

For photos, inkjet/photo printer

For laser printer, they do work on transparent films / sticker paper but get those meant for laser printer else your printer wil spoil

yup for color printer it is the most option. Btw saw new model from Fuji Xerox , CM225fw. Dunno issit replacement for CM215fw. Hopefully they will display at this show.

Pros good print out quality
cons external wifi (not inbuilt)

Brother will be MFC-9330cdw $548

Pros cheap

secondly you may want to consider inkjet instead cause all laser printers are big in size.

In this case you only have HP canon or Brother to look at.

Canon MF 221d is fine as well as Brother DCP-L2540
