OEM from Sonos is not suprise as Ikea one also OEM Sonos. Sound profiles is only software. Not hardware.
IKEA speakers have the Sonos logo on it and that tells me the standard is up to par for Sonos to licence their name to IKEA.

Prism+ “OEM” on the other hand, is like ah beng shop telling you all their replacement parts are OEM from Apple. Ya, bluff 5 year old ah.

I was told by the tech support at Prism + that the only browser that works on the TV is Puffins, which have to pay for a subscription.

If this is true then is really suck. Why need to pay for a browser subscription?

How to download Chrome or any browser on prism? Seem like none of them exist on the playstore

Have a Q43E and recently saw that the firmware added HDMI 2.1, according to the settings.

I don't have a 2.1 output device and the Prism+ website still lists it as HDMI 2.0.

Anyone with the Q43E can confirm it is indeed able to operate at HDMI 2.1?

How do you software upgrade a hardware specification? Possible?

HDMI 2.1 is just renamed from HDMI 2.0.
It’s still running at 18Gbps, not the 48Gbps which is full spec HDMI 2.1.

I mean if you have a brand that famously uses marketing gimmicks, slap a logo and call it a day, might as well cheat customers with fake HDMI 2.1.

HDMI 2.1 has alot of features such as 4k@120Hz, VRR, ALLM, eARC etc. Which feature does the update include? Not all features will be supported due to hardware limitation. Most likely you will not have 4k@120Hz as this requires your display panel to support this refresh rate natively.

From settings, VRR and ALLM are available but I cannot turn on, presumably since my output device is not HDMI 2.1.

compare Prism Q65 ultra $1099 vs Xiaomi Q2 $799, both using QLED. Both Google TV.

Why this prism is $300 more expensive? Is it worth it?

Because prism wants to earn more. They have given up competing on price.

really puzzle the big price different since both made in China, giving 3yrs Warranty. Either Xiaomi superb lousy or prism really good.

Cheap pricing doesn't equate to lousy quality, it depends how much profit does the brand/supplier wants to make from the product.

Using your own smart phone to surf net is faster n more convenient. No need to switch apps on TV as well.
