My dad's room Q43-QE bought in Nov 2022 died 2 times. Once was last year Nov - several horizontal lines. Recent one was March 2024, able to on but no image. Both occasions had a 1:1 exchange. I am still using their Q55 PRO Quantum Edition bought in Oct 2021 for my MBR and my daughter living room in Aug 2022. Both units are still going strong. My colleague Q43 died after 3 years. I guessed their 43 have issue. LOL...

My Q65 QE Pro almost 3 years old, still working OK.

Anyway, is there any way to lock the TV with a PIN or password so my kids can't watch?

I recently noticed that playing videos locally from my NAS with VLC on my Q65-QE Pro results in intermittent stutters once every few seconds. The stutters are very mild but still noticeable. At first I thought perhaps the TV processor isn't powerful enough to process 4K videos, but then I noticed even FHD videos have this problem. I don't think it's a NAS problem since the NAS is connected over 1Gbps ETH to my router, and my Prism is connected over 5GHz WiFi to the same router over WiFi 5. The Prism is also right next to the router so the signal is very strong. Any ideas why this may be? What other video players that support NAS can I try?

Can try get a cheap 1gbs ethernet USB dongle (about $10) and connect yr tv via ethernet cable. You will not get the full 1gbps as the USB port on the tv is USB 2.0 (max 300mbps), but it will be faster than the built in fast ethernet port and more stable than using Wifi with lower latency.

The WIFI 5 on most of these cheap tvs are just WIFI 5 AC protocol and somehow can't get more than 350mbps even if its beside the router.

Just keep the remote control.
Like how i did, i also kept the control and lock in my room when i am not at home so that my grandparent cannot watch.

If can avoid better avoid.

I am currently using Q55 QE, my 1st set just had a bright light on the side of the screen, technician came down and took a look, they say panel got problem and did a 1 to 1 exchange today. 2nd set got IPS panel bleed, Prism+ say is normal. My previous set also have the IPS panel bleed but has gone away after some time. Not to mention that my previous set also randomly got a pop sound coming out from the TV once a while.

I tested out the new TV just now for like about 45 mins never hear a pop sound. Lets see this new TV can last how long.

IPS panel bleed

I see. So this is what IPS bleed look like.

Well, my new Sony X90L also has darker corners on bright, white scenes at the corners. What's the term to describe this issue? [This isn't IPS bleed though]
I presume this is pretty normal for LED TVs, ... yeah???

It is called IPS glow.

Normal for IPS panel. My replacement Q55 also have this issue.
The above defect which i posted doesnt really affect my viewing experience, if sit far, dont really notice it unless you sit near. its not like i will sit near to use the tv, but since got warranty might as well claim.
