Received the TV yesterday, not pleased with it. The screen brightness is not distributed equally, certain parts can be seen to have different brightness. This results in patches of weird colours on the screen, e.g. black patches on a white screen, white patches on a black screen. The problem is so obvious that it can be seen easily. I have attached two images, the brighter one is taken without editing, while the darker one was edited with lower brightness to show the issue easier as the problem does not reflect as well on photos. In addition, a 4K TV was equipped with a browser not supporting 4K resolution, it is so pixelated that no one will ever use it.

But you get what you pay for... so...

Photo is taken of a white screen, a pure white screen.

Look like CCFL backlit LCD TV instead of LED backlit :s13:

Guess I'm lucky! My brightness is even throughout the screen, the only problem being that it's a little cropped in, I've attached a picture. Any idea how to solve it?

Forgot to mention, I did try changing the aspect ratio, the only one that ensures everything fits is PC Mode, but the image is less sharp as a result.

It depends what you wish to achieve and needed..
Apart from the TV quality, size, price....

If you want local warranty, Youtube and Netflix only, basic smart tv usage, limited app market place, english based content then Prism should suffice.

If you want Android based expand ability, can effective read Chinese, know how to setup VPN to China for content etc., then Xiaomi is your option. Comes with potential threat of your Xiaomi TV reveal details about you to China (that I dont know, cause I don't own one to investigate the smart TV communication).

Hope it helps

Sorry for not updating my case! Was busy lately.

The replacement set has the same issue, spoke to Prism support and they confirmed that both TV set I received have backlight bleeding issue.

Since the TV is on preorder basis, they have limited sets in their stockpile for replacement currently. They did a test on their spare sets (4sets) from the 1st batch but they were unable to find a perfect unit as there is always 1-2 small backlight bleed.

So... I have to wait until the 2nd batch is in before they can search for a perfect replacement.

I believe this is a quality check issue... seem like all sets have the same issue just that people didn't actually put in the effort to scrutinise. No high hopes that 2nd batch will be able to get a set for me.

Overall, support is prompt but product quality is questionable.

Seem this Prism+ brand quality jialat. Factory didn't do QC or have defective TV sets and send to Singapore.

Yet to see positive feedback. Brand is very new but LG panel and 3 yrs warranty looks attractive.

Warranty is 3 years onsite right?
Does it include parts and labour?
I'm tempted to get it cos my current tv is acting up...but the waiting list is in April.
