Contact dlink hotline 65014200 tech support 24/7 to see if they provide assistance & firmware link.

Called yesterday and have a case number already.

The accent of the customer service officer (should be a Indian lady) very strong and find it very difficult to understand.

Saw a email this afternoon from their support and they claim that my computer has corrupted file instead of their product may have compatibility problem with Windows Home 10 (64 bit)

Pending their reply.

you bought the adapter from a physical store? In that case just bring back to the shop say its not working and get a refund. Worst case they give you a replacement of the same adapter. If bought online just follow the returns procedure

Agreed as it may be faulty device itself.
Local shops will able to handle this 1 to 1 exchange.
Alternately go for a similar product as exchanged.
As i have no problem in model DWA 182 on Windows 7 64 bit.
This is USB 3 version.

As for your computer maybe run a OS system check, if you decide so.

Bought from Challanger but the receipt said good sold no refund.

As it can work but will cause blue screen or stop code, whether Challanger will entertain or not.

Yes, this is USB 3 type.

Read somewhere in the internet that the problem is on the 5G connection. After removing the 5G connection of this device from the router; so far, no more blue screen or stop code till now.

If this is the case, the problem is on the adaptor or the router?

The router is Singtel WiFi Gigabit Router AC 1900

imho, I follow this logic - since DWA192 is AC1900, so it should and must works with AC wireless, that includes 5G signal. If DWA192 after installation, trying to connect to the 5G wireless signal get blue screen or stop code, if this is not due to your PC problem, then the gadget is not work as per description and spec. It is not fit to be merchandised, you are entitle to return or exchange of other product.

I suggest you may try to reason with them. Bring the receipt with you for the proof of purchase.

what about the speed for 2.4G and 5G, acceptable? I own a Edimax EW-7822UAC, it is a AC1200 wireless adaptor, for 5G AC connection the speed approximately fluctuated at 220+/- Mbps, line of sight and 5metre away.

DWA 192 is AC1900 has far better spec than Edimax EW-7822UAC.

Exactly, that is why curious to know how good it performs.

From the system, it show the connection speed is 1.3 Gbps and it is quite stable. The distance between the router (living room) to this adapter (study room) is about 5 ~ 6M with short (900 width) rc wall/column blocking.

When closing the sliding glass door in between, speed drop slightly to 1.1 ~ 1.3 Gbps

Yes that is really fast, what about your speedtest? Edimax EW-7822UAC the connection is only at 867Mbps. Whereas the speedtest is only around 220Mbps

Downloaded speedtest apps from Store.
Download 61 and Upload 71.
My optic fibre broadband is 500M from Singtel.

When using my HP Samsung S7, i can get
Download 276 and Upload 249.

Why desktop connection is slower than handphone??

Did Singtel has speedtest based on Local Speedtest site.
Try to use other speedtest site based on Singtel site server.
Do try several tests at varies period as in non peak hours.

Do check your Windows Network Wireless LAN property status, on the connection speed.
Mine was linked to the wireless adapter, but somehow i was able to deactivate and connection speed improved, but not sure which laptops.
