You should install OEM drivers for certain functions like Power Management which may help. Like Lenovo has some Thinkpad functions to enable battery management or Fujitsu has Eco function to save battery. You should be able to use the Win7 version unless the OEM say cannot.anybody can help me?
thanks..thinkng of going back 7.
cant understand why it shuts down when all the drivers are updated
Not a good solution as it messes with the default language for non-Unicode programs...
Just name anything on the desktop with Chinese characters. (You can create a blank text file or folder... anything works)
Have you tried reset or refresh your PC?
PCI Lock prevents Windows from reallocating I/O Addresses & IRQ for your motherboard & hardware which can stop Windows from Booting properly especially if you're using AHCI or any hardware that needs remapping of these hardware resources.
I don't know how to uncheck PCI Lock from the command prompt so all I can say is to reinstall Windows 8 (System Reset). Previously, there's a Boot from Last Known Good Configuration but it's disabled by default in Win8.
Maybe someone else can help?
Now after windows 8 updates.. The network(Internet) takes longer to be identify when pc is booting up
Hi Nakedtoes,
Is there any error message appear in your PC?
If yes, would you please provide us the screen shot?
Thanks
no error message.. just that the yellow exclamation mark over the network icon and it takes about 3 to 4 minutes after the desktop is loaded then i get the internet network..
Previously i thought is my new avast anti virus.. but i tried uninstall the anti virus still same thing occurs. Previous before my windows updates i didnt encounter this issue
Quite a few times I had restarted my pc after updating DirectX 11 it stayed forever on black screen with blinking dash on top left hand corner of the screen.
I still face the same problem after re-clean install Win 8...
