Just saw this really sweet and interesting design on vivo diamonds facebook page. The W can represent the girlfriend's name initial. I think it is quite a good idea!
what's your comment on the below mentioned stone.
0.52ct
G
VS2
Triple EX
GIA
Hearts and Arrows
$3000
All these alphabets on the diamond ring was made famous by Harry Winston actually.. They have their iconic H and W.

From there, people wanted to just their initials instead.. lol
I've seen other alphabets like M and Y also.

If you notice, all the alphabets are symmetrical.. I wonder if can be done for other ones like B, S, J, L, etc...
arrrr I nv take down all the % valueWe need more information than that
Best if you can type out what's written on the certificate or just post it online here to see.
Even better if you have the scope pictures of the diamond
What is Paul's contact? Have something to check with him accordingly.
Do JP carry earrings as well?
I intending to buy earrings for Xmas.
Hi, I've been lurking on this thread for some time. Jann Paul seems to be highly recommended by all the bros here. Do I need to make a appointment first before I do down? If yes, about how long should I book in advance?
I would advice making an appointment with them before heading down. My appointment took almost 2 hours with all their education and ring design brainstorming.. I booked mine like 5 days in advance and there wasn't any issue.
Ah, I see.. another question. If my gf hinted that to me that she like vintage design rings, I assume it is old or antique looking rings.. As I'm not a ring design pro, I don't know how a vintage ring is suppose to look like.
Or does it just mean rings with side diamonds? I search vintage rings online and they all had side diamonds. Most of them had complicated designs. Is there any particular feature I'm suppose to look out for in a vintage design?

I do supposed these are vintage rings, Belgium Diamond House
One example here.

Only available in Hong Kong, Japan & Belgium though, been to their outlet in Hong Kong, the rings looks really nice, not very suitable for daily wear though.
Most vintage designs do have side diamonds, in fact, quite alot hahaha..![]()

To simply put it, vintage rings are usually complicated in design with many side diamonds. The vintage designs concentrate on a luxurious and exaggerated outlook because of the many side stones BUT it may not be practical for everyday wear because it can look overly bling...

Nonetheless, the side stones can be smaller and less exaggerated, if you look at the example picture below...

Most vintage design will have that small "dot dot" patterning at the edges which gives it the more antique feel... I personally really like this kind of design because of the diamond "frame" around the diamond. Plus, this "antique" design has been revived by Hollywood's Nicole Ritchie, so it is vintage yet fashionable

... or a design with details in the setting can also be considered vintage because the antique feel is really about adding more detail... IMHO anyways...

Sorry for the long post... vintage designs stirs me up![]()
I think it can be done.. I saw one J design earrings that JP did.

I'm considering of making something with Q of earrings..
If it's an O, it will just be like a bezel setting like this.. If it's just a Q, it might just be like that O with a dash? Think it will look funny...
