May I know what's the range I'm looking @ JP if my budget is max 5 grand? Will I be able to think about a 0.45+ rock?

Also, what's the turn around time for JP to deliver the final product?

Hey, appreciate your reply. :)

That's comfortable in my budget. My lady (and I :p) prefer a simple cut, no frills, classic design. So hopefully that will cut back some costs.

Any idea on the turnaround time? How long do they need to do up a ring?

Thanks again!

Jann just called me to inform me about the design. Ready next week.

Looking forward.

Their turnaround time for crafting the ring used to be 3 to 4 weeks. But business has been good, current wait time is 5 weeks already. Jann said as much himself.

Regarding your question in the previous thread, mine is still in the designing process. So no deadline to meet.

Oops, just realized what CG meant.. haha.

Yeah.. the diamonds looks a tad too big IMO.. :s13:

No sweat. :D

My 2cents is that if your stone is small, using halo can make it bigger, but if your stone is already big, adding halo will make it appear even bigger but people might have the impression that the stone is small.

I think if you've got a big stone, make it a simple as possible to show off its size.

But at the end of the day, it's up to your other half, whether she likes the design or not. :)

Good evening!

Just checking, my girl likes a 5 pronged diamond ring but when i look at the photos here and also in JP facebook, it seems alot are choosing 4 pronged. Hmmm, why is 5 pronged seldom seen?

Just a matter of preference.

nah it will be "different"

it wont be the same one as the one u used to propose then.

like there will never be two identical trees in the world :D

:s13: lol, I also share the same POV. Proposal ring traded in for another stone had lost its sentimental value.

5 pronged diamond rings are very secure but does not show the diamond as much as a 4 pronged claw does.

Basically, lesser prongs may showcase the diamond more (ie:side view) but there is a risk that knocks may loosen the diamond. You can compare pictures to see the type of style that suits you.

It's an individual's choice. Just my 5cts, hope the experts can chip in to help your decision making
