You guys total how many rings for the whole thing?

Was thinking 1 proposal ring (the more blink blink one) and a pair of wedding rings.

Skipping engagement rings.
hmm i thought the proposal and engagement ring is the same?

Anyway our plan is the same as yours... 3 rings

Same thought as Milo-Dino, proposal ring = engagement ring.

Same thought as Milo-Dino, proposal ring = engagement ring.

wedding band = wedding ring

so to sum up:

Proposal/Engagement Ring = 1 for our Miss
Wedding Band/Ring = Usually Pair, 1 for our Miss and 1 for ours
Anniversary Ring / Right Hand Ring = it depends ;-) 1 for our Miss

I see. Thanks! Does anybody have any feed back or bought from Zoara - Engagement Rings, Wedding Rings, Loose Diamonds & Jewelry before. Not only they offer competitive prices, but they also offer real diamond picture. The only gripes is that they are offering mostly EGL certs which are a little bit shady according to reviews.

for Zoara, I think this is the 1st time. But for EGL Certed Diamonds, it has been discussed before and in most foreign diamond community in comparison with GIA and AGS, experts are saying that amongst EGL umbrella EGL USA is the most trusted and some experts also saying that most EGL certed diamonds are usually a point lower compare to GIA and AGS, for example if an EGL certed diamond of E VS1 it will be F VS2 in GIA or AGS.

Hey guys, i would like to get some advice about this stone that i've just seen on Zoara. Priced at USD3.1k just for the loose stone. The problem is, there is no AGS/ASET nor any lightscope equivalent image for this stone. The only image i have is the real diamond itself magnified at 20X.

As you can see, there's some inclusion to be seen for sure at this magnitude, but it will be totally naked-eye clean according to the staff. GIA report is also attached. Its HCA is 0.8. The other thing would be the medium florescence but i don't think it that big of a deal since it's not strong and above.

Might take the plunge since they have a 45 days return policy.

What do you guys think? Thanks!

Going purely by technical date from what I see on the cert and pic, below are my comments :)

1. The diamond was certified 2011, which is almost 3 years ago. This might have been a returned diamond or not sold for 3 years for some reason. Hard to say if it's a resold diamond.

2. It's a 0.70ct. Try to go for 0.7Xct or 0.6Xct. You're paying a premium to for the 0.7ct range. If your diamond was to accidentally chip and lose 0.01ct to the 0.6Xct range, it will lose alot of value.

3. It has medium blue florescence.. Personally, I think it's very risky to get a diamond with fluorescence cos of its negative effects it can have on the diamond's appearance.

4. The star facet is 45% with a lower 80%. The star facet should be at least 50%.. If the star facet is too low, it causes the weaker fire.

5. From the photo, the 12 0'clock and 6 0'clock arrows are slanted to the left side.. I see quite alot of black lines on the diamond.. are those the inclusions?? I think for a VS2, it has quite alot of inclusions.

My thoughts:
The diamond can be better. In terms of price, the diamond is cheap, but fair for it's quality. It's going to be a gamble to buy the stone.. If you like what you see, it'll be a win. If you need to return it, need to factor in the shipping cost and the cost of buying another one again.. and what if you don't like it again?

But bear in mind, all my comments are just based on the data that you gave without seeing the diamond :)

Ya, should be 3 rings total.. 2 for his/her wedding bands and 1 engagement ring.. 3 rings is enough to burn the pocket already.. how many more you want? :s13:

Been to JP yesterday and served by aaron.
Am still thinking between these 2 :

0.46 Super ideal or 0.54 solasfera

Price difference is around 1k.
Color and clarity not much of difference.

any advice?

Hi, what are the specifications and the prices quotation? In my opinion, Super Ideal is ideal for one who goes for budget cut. Solasfera is of a premium cut than the former and it has smaller sparkers than Super Ideal.

for 0.46 super ideal, D.. VVS2 - $3300 exclude settings

0.54 solasfera , G, VS1 $4500 exclude settings

will prefer a 0.46 solasfera but they do not have. but super ideal still look very sparky and blink too.

Undecided man.
