Still waiting for my ring to be ready. Not sure whether JP will be able to get my ring ready by the date they promise or not.
Mine is just a classic simple setting, shouldn't take them long to finish the ring on time right?

Anyone have experience on JP delivery commitment?

Besides that, anyone plan for proposal during Christmas day? Any idea can share?
My customize ring box is on my way... hopefully can reach on time as well.

Wow... that's great! Are you choosing solitaire setting or special custom make? Do you have the photo of the ring box that they provide? Can upload here? I was check with everyone here to show me the box but until now no one posted it. So i not sure whether is it nice.
Other people only posting all the diamond and some with ready ring but without the box.

Appreciate if you can upload and show me.

I was shown the box after my purchase. It's just a small plain black ring box with no logo. Their logo is on the cardboard sheet surrounding the box. Understated but still quite elegant.

My understanding of the chart,
Price of diamonds will shoot up, while there are talks of incoming financial instabilities , probably due the the few companies in the industry knowing that price will fall, thus marketing tactics at work.

After the declaration of financial crisis, price will fall after about 1 yr , coincide with the Financial Reporting of lousy results from companies. Thus I guess, 2012 price will continue to climb,and 2013 will be a good ( and cheaper ) yr to buy 2nd or 3rd diamonds. Those who need to propose in 2012.. then LLST....

I don't even intend to propose right after I get my ring.

i got normal solitaire.. didn't custom made..
i can show you the box.. but its with the missus.. so might take a while to get it uploaded..

I think within a day or two.
If you did not receive any reply from them for the second day. try to email them again. Sometimes maybe they are too busy with appointment.

I know completely nothing about diamonds so need some input here. I saw one at Goldheart, approx 2.5k 0.5 carat. Dont know what cut or what certification. Question is, can I be very sure I'm not getting ripped off at such retailers?

good to check out the various retailers first...

what i did, i read through threads n information online, then visited retailers to check their products n prices. Finally i visit JP to check it out as well..

if u do not wan to spend the time reading information online, can go JP directly as they will share knowledge. no obligation to buy.

one point that I like about JP, they do not pressure you as do those retail stores...

people recommend JP for a reason, that is cos they are satisfied with their services n products...

basically it's your choice.

Hi... i think you have to consider yourself whether you want to get a branded diamond ring or better grade diamond but not branded name with the same amount of money.

You can try to check on some knowledge online...
there are a few online store that able to give you an idea what is 0.5 with good grade cost...
