Walked into JP yesterday. I didn't know need to schedule an appt but Vince was kind enough to attend to me. At first I intended to get the round diamond diamond, then he introduced me the Octagon... It is very very shiny... like superbly shiny... The Octagon might sound more unconventional but after seeing it, its actually really really nice looking. 88 facets on it, very huat..
took pics and video
Apparently, I can set the diamond in different way. Can make it more square looking (left) or have the octagon shape stand out more (right). I haven't decide on my setting design yet.
Was told that any setting design I choose, they can set it in the orientation I want. They didnt have any existing Octagon diamond that is already set on the ring.. it's hard for me to imagine it in a ring. For those who bought the Octagon, any recommendation??

Will upload my scope photos when I get them.
Or you can do like this with the gold wrapping around the diamond. This type don't need prongs.
Hand itchy, made an appointment to confirm settings but ended up upgrading to a 0.576 D vS2Yeah, if she is not intending to upgrade in future, Halo is a wise choice
Actually, the wrapping will decrease the diamond sparkles as more diamond surface area is covered... prongs seem like the more ideal choice![]()

Is that within ur budget? The i suggest u downgrade the clarity and see if you can a bigger carat... but as usual, jannpaul's super ideal cut, there is no need to worry about the sparkle3.8.

Jannpaul diamond pricing are quite ok and reasonable if you compare with those bigger brands out there, most imptly, their service and quality of diamonds worth what you pay for. i suggest you try to drop the clarity and see if you can get a more affordable diamondHaha just wondering if the price quoted is reasonable![]()
Hi, will like to seek some ladies opinion on this. My friend is thinking of proposing with a 5 stone diamond ring. His mentality is that it will be a proposal ring + wedding band together. So no need to buy a 2nd ring after this. Got people do like this?
