I think you are right bedposthalo, it does look tilted. Okay I shall stop worrying so much then.. not gonna ask for more pictures, dont want my boyfriend to think i'm nitpicking his choices. LOL

Thanks!

JP's QC is very tight.. I doubt the diamond will have issues if it passes their criteria. Did you see the diamond under the scopes during ur visit? If it looks good in person, it'll be good la.

Wish I could afford a 1.3ct too :o

Hi Guys,

Need some opinions for you all? How are these scope images?

It's a really nice one for an Ideal ;-), compare it online and youll have it on their Super Ideal Range ;-)

Reading through pricescope if my memory serves me well, some experts are saying that 62.4 is the max for the depth ;-) I think you dont have to worry about it because your Table is at its optimum range so it will still look big.

Have you compare it side by side with a diamond that is really close to its size and color?

no doubts about the diamond looks good! The depth will result in a little carat waste. But to little impact on the hearts and arrows. Just with a 62ish depth gives you the green ring in the ASET scope. But still a good one. Did you ask why is this an ideal only?

I'm just happy to see that you can come to terms with your diamond! Wouldn't want you to be wearing a ring you are unhappy with. =) and not to mention a 1.3ct one. Hahaha!

I went along but didn't take a close look because I kinda just wanted to see sparkly things. Didn't really think he would buy so soon either cuz he's usually very careful about these things. He was the one studying the scopes carefully.

Haha thanks. I'm happy with the boyfriend for wanting to give me a nice diamond, just that after he paid the deposit I went to read up and realised there're so many things to look out for and got worried. I got :s11: blur after seeing all the stuff about depth and heart clefts and hca and arrows. Btw what are hotspots? I tried searching online but the info wasn't very conclusive.

Plus my fingers are very slim so am also worried about the setting and whether it will suit my fingers. Zzz.

I compare it with a super ideal one 0.91ct E color. End up the G color look a bit yellowish.

It is because of the depth which more than 62%.

Hotspot is where the diamond is giving a bold and very nice brilliance ;-)

About the settings, don't worry about it I'm sure the size of your finger as submitted to JP will be further studied by them and will suggest that the settings is either too small for the finger size or the diamond will look to small for the settings, but imagine 1.30ct.............................. if you are saying your finger is slim..... 1.30ct have a very nice finger coverage!!!!

About resizing the settings, don't worry you are covered as well for that, all person I knew from this forum who availed from them got it for free ;-)

Smile and enjoy your beautiful 1.30ct ;-)

Hahah bro, of course it will look yellowish! that's why there's a grading category. That's why G is in the GIA's 'near colourless' category. The trick comes when you can differentiate it without comparing. Cause seldom and almost never do you actually see the diamond in comparison. I wouldn't worry too much about the colour, especially after being set in a ring.

Personally, I think with a good cut, the scintillation would help mask the true colour of the stone.

Thanks bro. By the way, have you come before measurement : 6.43mm - 6.43mm x 4.01mm?

you mean encountered before? Lol I don't trade diamonds bro. I'm sure that there are diamonds in that range. You can use the HCA tool to do an acid test on the quality of the diamond.
