Eclarity price is cheaper with similar specs. But no scope. N they claim that HCA is not recognised. How true is that?

Good HCA score is not a recognized guarantee of quality.. It is at best a rough estimate of how well proportioned the cut is..

Just went to JP n eclarity today.

Super ideal
0.527 F VS2 $3,800
0.51 E VS1 $4,150
Solasfera
0.53 E VS1 $5,300

HCA is a useful tool to reject out poorly cut diamond only. It cannot be used a a decision maker to choose your diamond as there's still alot of other important factors it ignores. A diamond with a high HCA score confirms the diamond is poorly cut, indicating that the basic diamond proportion is poor.
High HCA score = reject

But... a low HCA score doesn't confirm that the diamond is good. You need to further confirm it with the scopes
Low HCA score = Check further with scopes

Eclarity does not carry Super Ideal Cuts. Their quality is different and won't be a fair comparison. Super Ideal cut is worth more.

JP just uploaded a video comparison of Super ideal cut and Ideal cut. Difference is quite obvious.. Even the Ideal cut diamond have a lower HCA score 0.9
Goes to show, HCA score is not everything.

The video beckslim posted is a good example.
Super Ideal cut diamond - HCA score 1.1
Ideal Cut diamond - HCA score 0.9
The Ideal cut have a lower HCA score but still pales in comparison against a Super Ideal Cut.

Agree a small but good diamond can look bigger than it is. But I not sure if clarity is that impt? Since it's what u can see with a 10x scope

Am going down tomorrow to take a look, if all else is ok, gonna settle for this!

Double check on the indented natural -"An indented natural is a portion of the stone that has been left in its natural state (rough) and is below the level of the rest of the facet/where the diamond surface "should" be. In general they are absolutely nothing to worry about in terms of durability, but aesthetically it depends (as always) on size and location."

I m so undecided

Reserved a .71d vs2 previously.

Went to see a .79 E VS2..

Was thinking if the .79 will be too big? My gf ring size, not too sure but prob 7... Was thinking if I should wait for a .75

Can share the price quoted for the 0.71 and 0.79?
