Bro.. both diamonds are pretty bad le..

GIA 5186155439
0.51 J SI2
EX/VG/VG
HCA 2.4

GIA 2186195279
0.50 J SI2
VG/EX/VG
HCA 6.2

Proportions are terrible.. their diameter measurements is actually around the same as a 0.4ct+ with a better cut..
If you get a better cut 0.4ct+ diamond, it will look the same size but much better.. and you can upgrade on the color and clarity too. SI2 is quite extreme le.. Summore with feather inclusion, if your diamond crack, gone case liao.

worth to buy if its 1.5k ?

Hi everyone, Ive been lurking on this thread for the longest time and it’s now my turn to make a decision :) walk around many many stores looking for my diamond ring.. so far short listed jannpaul because they have the nicest diamonds....Im extremely fickle and feel bad visited 4 times already…

The problem Im facing now is which diamond I should get from them. They got so many diff cuts.

Super Ideal Cut (round)
Solasfera (round)
Brellia (cushion)
Octagon (self explanatory)
Octavia (squarish) but only 1 carat and so far never seen any comments about it before...hmm this look very different from the other diamonds need push budget up if getting a 1 ct…
please help me narrow down the good one to choose
so far i like the shape of cushion brellia the most.

but seems like a lot people going for solasfera...is it because is round so more people like it?

It'll be easier if you settle on which shape you like first.. then from there you explore the different cuts in that shape and slowly narrow down. What I like might not be what you like too.

If budget permits might as well go for the solasfera for a few hundred more. hehe

between these 2 I'd pick the super ideal.. but it's really up to your personal preference.. some prefer the look of the super ideal cut, some prefer the look of the solasfera cut..

Hi all I'm curious abt my quotation frm JP.

Super Ideal Cut
0.72 F VS1
Cost $7.3k

Does this seem right or did I overpay for it :(

I din't get D color coz i felt honestly you can't see much difference.
Sparkle wise it looked very good to me alrdy.

One more qn, does how bright / sparkly it looks depend on the color or the cut of the diamond?

Hi all,

Can I know roughly how much this diamond is worth?

GIA 5156770207

Thanks

Its a very shallow diamond.. depth is v short, table is v long.
HCA score is 2.3
For better value, you can try downgrading your VVS1 clarity and improve the cut.. it will have a better visual impact.

0.7x super ideal cut shld around 7k++ already. Sparkly is depend on the cut. Not color.
