I think Cut plays the most important role..
This is the first diamond I bought. Basically, the green and white parts are all the light leakages. And as you can tell, it's practically like everywhere.
When I see it next to the super ideal diamond earrings, even though they are smaller, the difference is very obvious. TBH, at first when I compared them in the shop I could see a slight diff only.. I thought ok la.. not that bad... then they explained to me its because of the shop lights that jewellery shops uses. Then they show me the diamonds again outside the shop on the streets. That's where the diamonds were like night and day. It made my ring looks so bad.
Shops use these trick lightings which makes everything look the good. The true test is when it is outside. But I doubt all shops will allow you to bring their diamonds outdoor
So next best thing is to use the scopes to check.
