Oh yeah. Haven't really thought about that.
But most prob going for something with side diamonds.
Only know she likes bling and squarish unique diamonds. :s13::s13:

If she likes square, then Octavia might be better. It looks more square to me.
Btw, is it an Asscher or emerald cut? The shape and pattern looks similar.

I saw both the Octagon and Octavia when I was choosing my diamond too~
Really love how both of them look, Octagon looks really crisp when you see it sparkling. Octavia looks awesome compared to their "cousin", Asscher. hahaha! Hard choice between this 2! Both looks super nice!

Thanks! It was a tough fight.. but I think I'm quite set on the Octavia :)
Going to JP this weekend to talk abt the ring casing design options.. Will see what they suggest

You might want to consider your setting design too and which diamond will be better for your design. For me, I knew I wanted a twisty design with side diamonds and was deciding between the Brellia and Octagon. After much deliberation and sleepless nights, I find that Octagon will go better with a twisty design and that's how I also picked my diamond.

All in all I am very pleased with the outcome and selection process... to a layman like me my SA Vince was patient enough to show me all the diamonds and Jann helped me with many requests on the design

Nice design! How long did they take to customize your ring? Do I need to show them the design I want or they will come up with something for me?

They told me about 4-6 weeks to hand craft the ring. Also depends on your customization and how often you change your mind on the design :s13: I changed my design afew times so mine too longer. If you have a design you want you can just show them. If not, they will suggest some for you.

They got alot of designs to choose from. Then if you want to make changes on their existing design also can. Mine was actually a fusion of 2 of their existing design.

hi all, extreme noob here but thought i shld just ask for some advice. Starting to think about proposing etc.

I know it might sound abit cheapo but my budget is about preferably 1-2k for the ring. We are both quite agreeable on not splurging to much on certain things so can save more for other things that we derive more pleasure in :s13:

Wanna ask
Which shops shld i look at?
What should I be focusing on? The style, carat and etc?
Any ideas to check out her finger size? or do shops provide like "samples" then after proposal if not correct can go back adjust adjust?

appreciate your comments. :)

The agsl light performance report image do not look that symmetrical though.. is it still advisable to get it or wait for new stocks to come in?

Also, is it better to place more emphasis on colour or clarity?

i think it is. cuz i bought mine at $4450 for the 0.56ct, super ideal cut, CS1 and F color.

i think the guys at JP know about this forum. Hence, i doubt they will vary the prices too much also. just a thought.

The Image on the AGS report is a "calculated image". It's not the actual photo. You should use the physical scope to see the symmetry.
