Yea, agree with them.
The first design looks nicer. Enhance the shape of the Octagon compared to the second orientation. Good decision going for the Octagon.

Hi all! Thanks for the comments! I'm kind of suspecting if mine is really a super ideal haha though the hca is 0.8 if I'm not wrong!
What kind of settings do you all suggest if I intend to upgrade to a 0.8-0.9 carat? Most probably sticking to a round diamond but not going for the Tiffany & co 6 prongs.

haha all 3 of you chose the same orientation!
We will most prob be going with that too. just wanted to check out and see what other setting/ways to set the Octagon.
I prefer plain setting cus the diamond will be outstanding especially with such carat size. But if you want to tone down a little and hope to be more bling, then go for setting with side diamonds or split shank. Dont go for halo cause 0.8-0.9 with halo looks super big unless you only plan to wear it for occasions

Best~Thanks for sharing the picture with me! I guess we will still stick with either the side diamonds one of the plain one. The Halo design is nice but too much for her.
thank you! I agree with lynntoh if your gem is a bigger carat size opt for a simple setting so the main focus is on the huge rock!
