I think need to have minimum posting then can post links to show the images. Usually they ask lynn to help them post the images. i'm sure she or the others who have met the minimum requirements to post images will help you too if you ask them nicely. :)

different places might have cheaper diamonds with the same paper specs. but that does not mean it is a good diamond as that is only the first filter to check whether if it is a good diamond or not. that's why we refer to other filters such as HCA or scopes to tell how gd the diamond is. JP has a good reputation and quality of diamonds is rather consistent.

True , its seems that they have filter out the "better" diamonds but nonetheless i believe that Jannpaul has advertising features with HWZ or rather, most probably they have employees within this thread to facilities their branding and up selling their products.

Basically it just means that doing a direct comparison to Cartier/SK, JP emphasis more towards the quality of the diamond. at the same time , i believe if one has the necessary knowledge to weed out diamond and has a good sense of diamond price, its possible to find a quality diamond lower in price.

nonetheless, personal opinion still stand @ JP setting are rather expensive, they are selling more towards a experience rather then the product itself and the consistency of the better diamonds are somewhat or rather assured although as usual; its comes at a premium which is nothing unique.

Like most jewellers, Diamonds in JP might not be a 1st hand product if some of the buyers are particular about. its just a cold hard truth across the board.

Got my custom ring design from JP. It's like receiving an early Christmas present :D The missus approves it. My gf hands not say very small.. Thicker rings looks better on her finger. They suggested doing this double split band.

They adjusted the hand model to the same size as my gf. This is the overall look. The side of the ring has an "X" design which is suppose to signify the roman number X (10 years r/s). My original idea was to put an infinity design or our initials. Then Vince was shocked to hear about our 10 years r/s and came up with the X idea instead..

Ring accessories shopping with my gf is very hard. She's not fat but have stubby fingers. Most of the rings she try on either don't fit or look awkwardly weird on her. So she only have a handful of rings she can wear. I told this to Vince and he was kind enough to tweak the ring design and hand model to best represent her size. Very happy and grateful to him.

Only thing to do now is to patiently wait for my ring. Was told it will take about 6 weeks for it to finish handmaking in HK. A big thanks to everyone here! Wish you guys a Merry christmas!!

Hi cupidsux i realise u have been having alot of negative feedbacks about jannpaul. Initially you have been posting very weird replies like u are aiming a 1carat then saying ur gf leaves u no choice then what go to america and mine for diamond then go onto asking if anybody here is selling diamond and now moving to saying settings from jannpaul is expensive and now says that jannpaul has advertising threads with hwz. I believe if jannpaul doesnt have what it takes, there wunt be so many pages of positive reviews with them. Its definitely alright that consumers end up not buying from jannpaul but i feel its not that rightful for you to keep slamming them. If you find their price is high, please feel free to drop by another jewellery shop and do share with us a better alternative so the rest can also benefit here rather then giving this kind of sweeping statement.

And i do hope you manage to find your 1.01 carat at a reasonable price out of jannpaul with very good specs that will make the diamond sparkle which is the most crucial :)

Hi guys, I was quoted $5200 (include 18k white gold with side diamond setting) for this proposal ring. Just to check if it is worth it.

Didn't know this thread is specifically just for Jannpaul section, apologies , sorry at the same time that you couldn't take joke pertaining to "diamond mining" that's like a couple of months back when I'm a total noob .. Lol , still learning about diamond and definitely learning how to joke with stern person.

It's a known fact that there might be a likely chance that it might not be a 1st hand product unless you could prove otherwise, which I happen to realize and it's something not openly discuss, so just wanted to share it with those who are very particular on it . Likewise advertisement were presented while browsing although not very sure whether it's from HWZ or otherwise . Pertaining to setting its a personal opinion , likewise you felt for unrighful for me to keep slamming them , it's just a personal opinion for you , any 1 bothered ? Guess not I presume . Having tons of positive comment doesn't mean there's no negative comments , it's subjective . Whether they have what it takes actually isn't affected by whether you believe they have what it takes but they need definitely need more people like you to advertise for them; be it paid or foc.

Will definitely keep a look out , Keke , thanks

Hi i met with a problem. recently just bought a diamond from a small shop in chinatown...

last week we went back to have the ring resize..3 sizes smaller

when we collect and went back my wife told my the diamond was shifting
all i did was turn the diamond a little bit and it came off...i swear to god.
when it came off, i saw the bottom sharp tip was broken and there is a crack all the way to centre
now i look at it again i can see the crack from the top..it was never there last time

they offered to reset back the diamond safely...
then the big bomb drop... nothing can be done about the diamond

i am not good at explaining how it looks like but it is obvious
they made it clear that it is not their fault...
my diamond was a VS1 and it was not there to begin with

my ring is with them now for resetting but it looks like ****...we are extremely unhappy about it..

what can i do about this? i also don't want to argue with them
please help

Just saw the octagon diamonds and OMG so pretty! I've always wanted my engagement ring to have side diamonds but it looks like if I were to get the octagon diamonds, I would go with plain setting (so that the shape will be more obvious). Then my wedding band will have side diamonds. But we tried mounting the octagon on a tapered side setting. Looks not bad isn't it?

Any comments on octagon with plain settings vs side diamonds?

Is it GIA certified as a VS1 and did you check if the number on the diamond tally with the cert?

Tell me about it.. lol. If I didn't go for the double split band design, I would have probably gone for the tapered side settings too. See how it looks on your finger. Thicker rings looks better on my gf's hand.. I see your fingers quite small, so maybe thinner band will look nicer
