Ohh okay. Sounds good.

I don't know leh. Because my girlfriend wants to lose weight before the photoshoot so we signed up for it. My girlfriend abit too grow sideways liao so more or less fingers' meat will slim down mah.

finger size might change a little if we're talking about drastic weight loss (5-10kg) for a average height lady

Nowadays getting rarer for girls to be satisfied with 0.5 liao haha

i think 0.5ct is the average here le. i know in the US is bigger as they got bigger fingers.
my gf went down with me and she ownself pick the 0.5ct. so i'm confirm safe :D

Ai yah, if wanna run, long ago run liao lar. Then what is the timing I should give myself in advance? :s11:

i went with JP and it took about 6 weeks, but I just picked an available diamond with standard setting. So I guess 2 months is ok if you are not looking for custom setting or die die must have a specific color + grade + carat combination.

If you need to meet all kinds of crazy specs (esp above 1 carat), I think you should give it more time as you can wait for the different shipment to come in and see if they got what you want.

Arh okay. Thanks. Will give myself 2 months in advance. I saw JP also has those abacus diamond rings as wedding bands. :s13:

Had my ring resized bigger. Wife fingers inflated abit after pregnancy. Ring is almost 6 years old and after resize, looks brand new again :) They will repolish and replate the ring too so all the scratches are gone. Service at JP is impeccable as usual. I asked if they can shun bian replate my whitegold chain and they did it FOC.

Now my wife like wearing a new ring again.

FYI, diamond is a 0.5ct. I think its just nice and already looks quite big.
It might be due to the cut that the diamond looks bigger too. I've seen 0.6-0.7ct rings and they look the same size as mine.. :D

Does brilliant rose or destinee cut appeal to you? Sookee sales mention that this bring out more sparkle.

before i went jp and came here i actually thought of destinee and went in once but is the usual thing where they show u the ring and price.

i went to jp after that and on that day reserved a ring.

unless your girl really hint u about the brand and size, why not try JP as it will open u up to more choices.

Lovely picture!

What camera you use to be able to capture the ring in such details with great contrast??

or should i go for the below Super Ideal Cut but smaller carat for $3.2 k

The HCA Rating is 1.1

Took me a few tries to get it to focus on the diamond. Funny thing is the best place to take ring photo is at darker places. If the place is too bright, the diamond will keep flaring up and get out of focus.

I'll go for the Super Ideal Cut. Cut is still the most impt factor. It'll make the diamond more bling, brighter and somewhat visually ''bigger''.

Will go for ideal cut.

The ideal scope looks almost Super ideal and it’s almost a 0.1 carat difference. So a 0.55 “almost” SIC will definitely look bigger than a 0.46
“Real” SIC

I was told that the ideal cut would be an SIC if not for the fluorescence.. But no idea if I should be concerned about the faint fluorescence.. I had a look see under the sun but couldn't tell the difference.. Then there is the trade in value.. The ideal cut doesn't have any trade in value..

Sigh hard to. Make a choice

you spend so much time and effort on getting a ring for her. but it'll take her less than a minute to dump you. might as well save the money for the HDB. if you knew the price of just the toilet of BTO hdb you might just get her a simple ring.
