Thank you both for your kind explanation. I already paid for it, just that it's sort of an impulse buy and I'm a noob when it comes to this. Yes, the price is with setting and they sold it to me off the rack.

JP/HOH prices are fair and they are known for quality. You cant go wrong with them. Your price is reasonable considering it includes the setting too.

I upgraded mine from JP already.
I saw that one. It has a big feather on the edges. Thats why I recommended the 0.6 E VS2 instead to compare.

I wouldn’t get one with indented natural as an inclusion but I always get pple to think about the savings with dropping either color or clarity.

In the ASET scope, there are those green streaks between the arrows. Aren't those light leakages?

Green is less intense light return. Not leakage.
Qs is would u notice it?

And even so, if I now told u I would discount a 2ct H VS2 to under $5k, would u buy it?

ASET on black backing changes the color perspective. Green or strong red can be light leakages. This is a trick they use to fool consumers.

Would your eyes pick up?
The leakage is minimal as compared to your pic
Here’s a stone with fairly good symmetry, minor light leakage for a great price

Let’s assume I find u a similar one with no leakage and if it’s under $5k for a 2ct would u buy?

Bluenile is one of the worst to buy from. They are drop shippers. You can give any diamonds you see there to other shops like HOH, and they can quote you that same diamond cheaper. There are better places to get from that has more diamond analysis info.

Light leakages I can pick up. I was given a choice of a Super Ideal Cut and another diamond with exact same specs for 2k cheaper. I couldn't bring myself to save that 2k for something inferior that doesn't shine that much. One thing I notice is that the more I look at diamonds the more obvious those poorly cut ones are.

I showed my wife your post and ask her if she will buy that 2ct for 5k. She said yes (now she thinks I'm planning to upgrade.. Zzz...) She'll wear it for fun at night time becos ppl can only see the size in the dark, and will wear the better cut one during daytime when more people can see :s13:

Lol. Wife knows best.

That’s the answer I wanted to know.
Size clearly matters. In time to come, prices are bound to drop further. As there is no rarity of it, the cutter does not have to cut deep or wide to retain weight.

There’s no trickery on the ASET, but yes there’s the issue of background
But the seller clearly stated .... (note this should not be confused with CZ or moissanite)
A lab grown is every bit a diamond

Would u buy this same 2ct for under $5k now?
