was quoted $13,900 for a SIC 1.10ct G VVS2 at JP, have not received the scope images yet but saw them in the store and thought they looked great :)

GIA report number: 1343713890

HCA score: 1.0

just wondering if this was the typical price range for round cut diamonds around 1.0-1.10 ct? bf is wondering if we can get a better deal elsewhere (he's thinking we could get a bigger ct size for the price, but after extensive research i do know that cut is more impt)

happy to hear from those in the forum who have already gone through this experience

If youre already spending that amount of money..then go for a better cut..bigger size doesn't matter..the cut makes a significant difference

Cut matters the most. I’ve seen those ppl wear huge diamond rings before that just doesn’t sparkle. And when it’s so big and not shiny, it makes ppl wonder if it’s actually a diamond.

Stick with the better Cut. Go see JP's white series Decagon, the E color Decagon looks whiter than their D color SIC lol. Bling wise u go down see urself. I wont spoil for you. Their white series is no joke when they said new generation. I think 3rd one I remember releasing is a cushion?

Hi Guys, I have been looking at JP, michael trio and james allen for an engagement ring. Then i came across LUXIEE, which sells the diamond at a more competitive price, just wondering if anyone came across this brand and if there are any recommendation for an engagement ring in general.

How competitive can list out the pricing?

Hi Richass!

My fiance and I bought my engagement ring from LUXIEE! When compared to the retailers outside, for the same specs, one can save up a few thousands when purchasing from LUXIEE. Because we will be buying the diamond straight from the diamond suppliers. Plus, all their diamonds are GIA certified and even if you're not too sure on which diamond is better their customer service v friendly.

Hi uniquely_ad!

I did a little searching up by comparing Gold Heart to LUXIEE:

Gold Heart
GIA report: 2196089619
Carat: 1.01
Colour: E
Clarity: VS1
Cut: Very Good
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Good
Fluorescence: Faint

With a solitaire setting, the above costs S$11,288

LUXIEE
GIA report: 6322288703
Carat: 1.00
Colour: E
Clarity: VS1
Cut: Excellent
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Fluorescence: Faint

With solitaire setting, the above costs: S$8431-- the LUXIEE diamond has a triple excellent cut and it costs less.

Actually how I knew I will go ahead with them is through the Rice Media Article I read Inside the Brain of A Pawnshop Owner.

The Luxiee stone is poorly cut and deep.

Why compare the price with a brick n mortar shop?
If u wanna compare, then compare it to other dropshippers

This user from Luxiee got second banned. Obviously self advertising and promoting nonsense stuff. When you see them promoting their company as the worlds first online market place, either delusional or never used the internet before. Even the diamond they're promoting is bad.

Just to add to the blacklist to avoid; Vivo and luxiee. All the same pattern. These drop shippers doing the same thing.

Can I get anything from JP with a 5k budget? Anyone heard of Jumbo Gold and Diamonds? Any reviews on this shop/brand?

They have got diff diamond cuts. I think 6k can get you around 0.7ct? But also see which of the cuts you want. The better cuts is their White Series range which are their newer cuts. I pre-ordered their Decagon hearts and arrows cut 0.5ct in the 4k range. The sparkles are even more intense that the SICs.

i saw many mentions of the term SIC, jus wan to confirm does it mean super ideal cut?

i see one of their videos they say dun go for the rounded carat, try to go for smth with 2 decimal points, wads the reason ppl still go for smth with 1 decimal point?

Ya, SIC is super ideal cut.

You always see poor cuts forced into the 0.30, 0.40, 0.50, 0.70, 1.00 range, either they cheat on the girdle (read about painting and digging) or they cut to the worse limit of GIA just to hit price mark.
If you slightly chip your diamond for some reason slightly, that 0.01ct difference can save your value to stay in that range. It is also better value to go for the 0.5x+ weights.
