My vote is the 2nd pic of the rosegold ring on top right. The side view is very swee. If she has those pics on her hint list, you’re quite good to go already.

They do free customizations anyway. So you might as well pick the custom route if time allows.

Im doing up my design like this one too. But I'm leaving the band with no diamonds. Keeping it plain. Only the area beneath the main diamond parts will have diamonds. So from the top view, it will still look like a solitaire.

Initially I wanted a thicker bandwidth but they recommended me thinner would be nicer for my gf's small hands. Gonna follow their suggestions

Can u accept a SI clarity stone that is eye clean or even an H or I color stone?

Poh Kim don’t do Super Ideal cuts. If I rem are at some industrial area and are more for making ring settings rather than diamonds. The diamonds they had was like HCA score 3-4 type irrc.

Radiant cut isn’t that popular nowadays. It was a trend last time but got less popular over time just like the marquise and princess cut. They won’t be as brilliant compared to the round shapes or other hearts/arrows diamonds. I rem there was another cut that was the improvement of the Radiant called Angel cut. Though I’m not sure what happened to it. The next closest with a better performance will be the Octagon hearts/arrows. For the old radiant cuts, the next best option is probably online with a wider selection.

Radiant cuts was popular a long long time ago, but its light performance is legit really terrible, you can google radiant ASET to see how bad it is.

But because its bad, it helps fancy yellow colors reveal its colors better, so people use these type of cuts more for fancy colored diamonds. Otherwise, its dull and dark with a crushed ice look under white light and under spotlight the bling or fire is so small, you need to really like go super near to see.

The next other options for cut cornered diamonds, have afew.. are you looking for square or more emerald radiant cuts? If squarish then definitely go for the Octagon hearts and arrows from Jannpaul. If rectangle maybe you might want to consider step cut emeralds? it really depends what you're looking for.

The decagons are about 5% more than the Super ideal rounds. The cost difference is for the higher labour and carat wastage cost in cutting the diamond. I actually thought that for the 121 facets, it would be even higher. For 5%, might as well go for the better performing decagon. You drop 1 color or 1 clarity grade is enough to cover that 5% difference liao.

The one I ordered from them is still in the grading process. They will give the carat weight that is fixed, then the expected color and clarity range with the according price estimates. Then from there, it's up to you whether you want to accept the diamond when it comes out. And if the final grades come up better than the estimate, they will give the higher grade one to you without needing to pay extra.

True that. Whether we'll get to actually reap the same benefits or not is really in the hands of diamond retailers. Even if the suppliers are slashing their prices, but retailers put heavy markups on the diamonds then we really won't receive any benefit from this. O well hope for the besttt

Hi, I'm abit confused. I know Jannpaul has a new decagon 10 hearts and arrows diamond, and then the solasfera 10 hearts and arrows that is a round shape. Then I see on their insta they have another new round 10 hearts and arrows in their white series. Is that the same as the solasfera? and is white series a super ideal cut?

Compared to past prices, the price is very good. They deposits are swappable anyways. So you can still change to other diamonds in the future when newer ones comes in. I also placed a deposit with them to lock in my diamond price.

Hi all,

I just want to say a big thank you. Managed to propose a couple months ago (before **) and thanks to the recommendations and tips. Got myself a SIC, not the biggest but S.O is very happy with the ring. Size seems .25 smaller, they have only got half size..so..

Anyway.. a bit of hipcup whereby the ring was not properly polished at the part where the white and rose gold meets, resulting in uneven surfaces. The team took care of it and delivered the next day to my home. Was disappointed with initial workmanship but they made it right, kudos to that.

If I'm not wrong, White series is their new upcoming cuts which is better than the SICs? The new round is diff from the Solasfera. Solasfera is 91 facets and I saw the new round is 111 facets. I believe it is meant to replace the Solasfera.
