Sweet. Any other Bros have normal settings with brellia? Cos jp told me the most common setting for brellia is halo. For normal setting, is it better to get a classic round instead of brellia. I find brellia to be unique and more bling as compare beside classic round.

Are you very particular of color? (Color sensitive)? Ring setting with lots of side diamonds will somehow gives the illusion that the main stone looks less white, meaning to say, a G color main stone in a halo setting might appear to be more tinted as compared to simpler setting. I'll suggest you head down to the store and request for some halo or similar ring with a lot of side stones with a G main stone and see if you are ok with it.

If you're not very particular with color and you like halo, definitely you should go for it :)

 Would halo make colour E/F diamond less white too? or the difference would be huge only for colour G diamond? :s11:

Yes, because the side diamonds are too tiny, so they appears to be tiny 'white dots' surrounding the main stone. No matter what color, it will appear less white as compared to a simpler setting...but of cuz, the impact on higher color is lesser but there will still be a bit different.

Better take a look of sample diamond with halo physically in real before deciding.

Hey All,

I'm stuck between deciding this 2 diamonds. Hope to get some friendly advice from the bros/sis here.

P.S. would appreciate greatly if someone can help me repost with the images embedded. Insufficient post counts.

Diamond A:

Diamond B:

Which one will be a better diamond overall based on the scope?

Many thanks!

I think I would prefer Diamond A based on the scopes. Are they different sizes?

yea both are super ideal cut.

Haha this is out of my league, probably best to ask JP for advice on this. However both have perfect light return, so performance wise, it should be the same to naked eyes, so maybe you should just consider either one based in your budget.

No bad, looks like JP's ideal standard. Did you check prices with JP on their ideal? How much did you pay for this? (Including GST 7%)

I guess my camera took from a slanted angle thus the hearts & arrows seems not symmetrical. Jannpaul commented that this diamond was a super ideal base on the ASET scope and the AGS report. JannPaul actually countered offered me with a super special price for their 0.60 F VS2 super ideal diamond before I made the jump with whiteflash.

After careful consideration and calculation, I went with whiteflash instead and still I would like to thank JannPaul for the education. I might be going back to them to customize my setting.

Actually I wasn't looking at your scopes, I was looking at the cert's scope images and the hearts image doesn't look super ideal.

Nevertheless it's a nice stone, hope you gotten it at a good price!

Interesting to see a review from someone who bought from Whiteflash! One quick question that I have - for Whiteflash's VS2 grade diamonds, even from the ACA series, I've noticed that their magnified images often show the inclusions very clearly (usually a smattering of black dots), but they still receive Whiteflash's stamp as eye-clean diamonds. If your diamond is the same one as that which you posted sometime ago, which has the same smattering of black dots visible even in the magnified image, care to share if the inclusions are actually detectable under the naked eye?

Also, if you don't mind me asking, in terms of %, how much was the difference between Whiteflash and JP after factoring in shipping, GST etc?

For the inclusions, use the cert to determine. I believe their picture taking skill and lens use might not be as clear and as qualified as JannPaul thus the blackdots all over the ASET scope.

My first diamond via JannPaul without showing my whiteflash diamond quoted was $4450 for 0.58 G VS1 super ideal.

I won't be sharing the counter offer by JannPaul against this Whiteflash diamond.

My whiteflash diamond cost me $2567.59 USD for 0.623 G VS2, shipping FOC via FedEx reach me within 3days. GST not inclusive so you gonna add 7%. You can do the maths for that.

Also factor in that if you are to buy settings without buying diamond from the local shops, you will have a expect the price of a minimum $550 to a higher price of $800 up.

You also have to factor in the free sizing and after service from JannPaul.

Nonetheless JannPaul is a good and value buy with all added. Its just that I'm not concern on the little things thus i went with Whiteflash.

Ic, I believe Jann Paul charges 1100 for setting without side stones and 1500+ with side stones for diamonds not bought in store, as I do like their free customization services, I calculated that if I would to get from WF and uses JP ring setting, it's not really worth the hassle of ordering thru WF. not sure if the setting quote from JP are standardized since the amount you indicated for setting is actually much lower than what I know.

Well, for settings wise, i've been sourcing around. Do a quick google search on customize settings/rings, you will find a list of places. Its alot of homework to do.
