JannPaul's signature cuts all no need to review scope images one lahh. They already do the donkey work for you to make sure that you get the best of the best diamond. They even check the inclusion characteristics to make sure that there won't be any reliability issues with the diamond in future.

Those that need the pros here to review are 3Ex ideal cuts and below.

Just collected the customized ring.
Workmanship is very good at naked eye. Will take a closer look under scope.

Unfortunately, I did not request JP to take showcase photos.
I'll try to take them myself. Hopefully I can achieve the same results.

Any tips on photographing diamonds? So damn difficult to get crisp edges and get them in focus.
They usually will auto take and send you later on. They sent me mine like 1-2 months later haha

You need a macro lens or macro extension tubes, and strong lighting

Sent from Xiaomi MI MAX using GAGT

hey guys, I know much have been mentioned about JP's Super Ideal diamonds.

Wanted to get your advice on their Ideal diamonds which did not pass their Super Ideal requirements (HCA score >1.4, G colour and above, etc).

The following diamond was shortlisted for me in my previous trip to JP. I understand that because it is an ideal diamond, i should not expect the equivalent light performance to a Super Ideal. Nonetheless, I'd like to get your opinion on how these scope images compares to a Super Ideal one (I'm still torn between getting an Ideal or Super Ideal).

My first observation is that there are some light leakages on the table on the diamond (based on the Idealscope image).. and I'm wondering if it'll affect the light performance overall

Many thanks to all bros for your kind wisdom!

*Edit: not sure why the links don't display. but you can see the images when you click on the icon for the broken images*

In terms of 3Ex ideal cuts, this actually looks quite ok. The white areas on the table on the ASET scope image are small and I believe they would not cause too much of a degradation to the diamond's overall appearance.

By the way bro, can we have the 4Cs and proportions, or better still, its cert number?

-add-

There is also one misaligned arrow at the 6 o'clock position. Did you personally look at the scope images? If you can't spot the misalignment during viewing, I think it should be unnoticeable with the naked eye.

Yup. Messaged them and they sent the pictures over.
But I wanted a couple angles of the ring. They told me to visit them and let them take more shots. Excellent service.

Alternatively I could rent the lenses and shoot according to their EXIF metadata. But meh.

Mind sharing ur ring pics? Curious about ur design :s22:

It's JP's Octagon diamond. i can't seem to capture the sparkles of the diamond in photos. but it is damn sparkly. i went for the Octagon for its super sparkliness and shape. Not the typical rounds that most people have so abit more special. My GF tried to count the 88 facets but was too blinged out to continue counting. i should have taken some photos under the sun. its like no matter which angle you see the diamond, there will be the colorful flash. The more i move the ring, the more flashes there was. So yea, you can imagine how it is. lol

The diamond is a 0.61 carat / VS1 clarity/ F color. The ring is a size 9. It was still abit too loose for her, so i guess her finger is about size 7-8. JP told me that the diamond will look bigger on a hand and on smaller fingers. True enough, it does look v big on her. To a layman like me, i will think its like a 1ct size :s13:

Kudos to JP for rushing out the ring for me. i dont need to say how satisifed I am with their services. Jerome served me for the diamond and while he was on leave, Joy helped me with my ring. Both of them were nice and friendly.

Anyway, here's the scope images of my diamond. i know they only carry the good stuff and no need to check. But no harm sharing right? :)

Thanks! the diamond is a 0.61 carat / VS1 clarity/ F color. i proposed in melbourne at one of their hiking trails. we trekked to a small waterfall area and then i proposed there.

I am eagerly waiting for my ring to be crafted. Jann the boss told me it would take roughly 6 weeks for the crafting to be done.

Lee Hwa destinee series kym?

KY but quite ex. If I am not mistaken, those are just normal 8 H&A diamonds. They just gave them a fancy name and up the price. Also, diamonds less than 0.5 ct only have their in-house cert.

Destinee Royale different. That one has 10 H&A. But also super ex.
