Fonder diamond is just a typical online jewelry shop that sells diamonds online. But the difference is they target uneducated people that will fall for these labels without understanding much abt diamonds. They loosely label their diamons as ''Super Ideal cuts''. Their ''Super Ideal Cuts'' are no way near the standards of White Flash or JannPaul.

Btw, Founder diamond's ''Super Ideal cut'' diamonds are also sold on Bluenile, and even Bluenile doesnt dare call them as such.

As KinoChoco mentioned, I would avoid them.

And the fact that I remember one of the Bros here found out that they paid advertising to list their website on top result whenever someone googles for 'jannpaul', trying to leech off JP's name, this kind of shop I will absolutely avoid.

However it seems like they removed the leeching now that I tried google and they are no longer on the top list, probably noticed that we exposed them. lol

Its always better to see the physical stone when buying a diamond.

Same like buying a Rolex, would you buy one online even if its a few hundred cheaper ?

Go to a physical store ask for stones in your price range, if you don't like it say thanks and walk away.

Singapore has more than 10-20 good stores to buy diamonds from, you can go to a big mall go in tell them what you want (eg, price, specs, settings, etc.) take their name card and give them your number.

Within the week they will call u and tell u what they found, decide which fits u better and go to the store to see. Likely you will get to see 10-20 stones of the range u require.

From there take some time (if you are not in a rush) and pick the best one you prefer. Btw diamonds have huge mark ups so you can actually haggle the price down further by 5-10% more.

Hi guys,

We previously reserved a JP super ideal diamond but went down to look at some ideal diamonds today. We can see a little difference when comparing the ideal and super ideal side by side but don't think we will be able to tell them apart if they are not together. The ideal diamonds failed the super ideal criteria because they are not fully symmetrical.

Super ideal
0.61 G VS1 $4800

Ideal
0.60 G VS1 $4400
0.67 G VS1 $4900

Which should we go for? Thanks.

I thought all diamonds from jp are Super ideal?

How to know it's ideal or Super ideal?
