Any idea which cashback card should I use for my ring purchase (SGD5K)?

I am applying for the AMEX true cashback credit card (3% cash back cap at 5K purchase which is just nice for me). Any better alternatives?

Hey guys, can help me see the difference between these? it's quite minor, and all spec are the same except one is E and another is F.

Somehow, F looks better to me than E. I just based on image though, don't really know what exactly to look out for. F is right side.

Right looks more blink? But the black line like abit out? What to make of this?

Left is more dark blue, is it better? And more red means more blink effect?

Not sure about this, but notice the LEFT 1'clock, there's a red "stain" there on the black line. what's that?

Why does having a recent gia cert command a premium in your opinion?

they look the same. just choose one with a more recent GIA cert

If its dated earlier, there is a chance that diamond was shown to many customers before but didn't get purchased for some reasons.

It may also be a used diamond that was traded in, and hence an older GIA cert.

Anyhow, my GIA cert was dated 27 Sept 2017

Mine is all ags cert. It's the same as gia right.
but it's quite old. March 2016. like that got difference?

Both are the same date actually. So it become choose the cheaper one? Haha.

Bro, you have to discuss with your gf in order to know what her expectations are. If you ask JP, they will tell you average is around 0.55 ct in Singapore. For me, all my friends have around 0.3-0.8ct, average 0.5, those earning in the doctor and banker range 1ct. It seems very appropriate to me according to their earnings and not something the guy needs to stretch their budget and worry about. For me, i personally paid for part of my e-ring. My husband is not part of our culture and in his culture they do not have diamonds.

Ultimately, only your gf can tell you what size she wants. If neither of you know anything about e-rings then I feel that you can consider buying an ideal cut diamond online, if your budget is $5000 then probably you can buy online, ideal cut HCA less than 2 0.6-0.8ct I or J color and spend $500 getting it in simple white gold solitaire setting in Singapore. For me the absolute lowest but still getting my big carat size is usacerteddiamonds.com. Lol his site very vintage but I finally managed to call him and I am buying an L color diamond from him. You can read reviews of him on Pricescope forum and ask them for more advice on stretching your diamond budget.

Try to hint to your gf if she has any preferences!! But in the last 10 pages, there are a lot of people spending $2000-$6000. Mainly $5000 range. U need to read again

Just choose the cheaper one. It is the same diamond I tell u. LOL. JP diamonds really look so identical. Because their cutting is cut to particular and exact machine specifications and super super exact. So ya, you will never be able to tell them difference with your eyes.

If you are still not feeling confident, you can post on Pricescope forum and ask them to decide between the two. I bet they also tell you buy the cheaper one.

Recommended budget is what you can comfortably afford at this point. If you can only comfortably afford $2k, then use that as a guideline or save a few more months for a higher budget. If your gf demands a $10K ring when she knows you can only realistically afford $2K, then you might want to reconsider marrying her

Young ppl seem to be a bit more demanding and willing to spend on this kind of stuff. I’m in mid 30’s and my SO is early 30’s. After hinting and then discussion, we decided on cheaper engagement ring, spend more on wedding bands and more on home reno and furniture.

Now when see nice expensive furniture we don’t feel as pain buying. Can aim for nice marble tops and solid wood furniture, more shiok to us than diamond ring

Im probably going for cheaper one also. Not much difference actually, the price.
