Thanks for posting my eRing with the wedding band. Appreciate it.

I didn't know that the stacking is supposed to be eRing first and then the Wedding band on top πŸ™ˆ Hahaha
I just like the look of eRing on top of the wedding band so I wear it that way 😁

i also prefer stacking my diamond on top of the wedding band :D

@CheeRs87 : it's E color. From their stock I was considering this and a larger size they have but with lower color. But my husband felt we should go with this one as he prefers colorless diamond.
@gingerhoney: your diamond is lovely! Is it from JP too, ard 1ct ish?
And is your band from Tiffany? i think i tried that setting before too.
Basically the price I got was similar to the same spec diamond from Whiteflash ACA + GST. Their setting is much cheaper though (SGD 1000 for platinum which I can fully customise and come with free resizing and repolishing vs USD 2.037 of a similar setting from WF). With the convenience, the ability to fully customise the setting and after I saw how beautiful this diamond was in person I obviously decided on getting my diamond ring from JP.

I always thought it was E-ring first because that will be the first ring you get, then followed by the wedding band. lol
I guess its also up to your own style too la

Hi, new to this forum. Recently I'm looking for a engagement ring. Went down to JP but it's over my budget for what I wanted. Went down to meyson jewelry. Any reviews on this shop? It was a 0.51 G VS2 and cost around 3k with setting. With a HCA score 1.2. Anybody can help?

It also says that they come with a SIG cert to certify it is 8 hearts and arrows.

Meyson is alright if you dont have a high budget. But its of a different level than JP in terms of quality.

Best is not compare much and work around your budget.

The HCA score itself is not good enough to decide if it’s a good diamond or not. See the cut quality of your diamond before you buy, using the ASET scope. I got mine at Jannpaul, Super ideal G VS1 at $4200 w settings.

Thanks a lot. Sadly to say Meyson doesn't provide any aset scope. Anyone here deal with meyson before?

HCA is just a filtering tool. It wont tell if the diamond is good. It can only confirm if the diamond is bad. I wouldnt trust the SIG cert though.. It is associated with another lab EGL that was sued by many of its buyers that bought those diamonds. The cert doubled the value of the diamond than what it was worth. The only shop that I know uses SIG cert is Meyson.

The safest best is to use the ASET scope. You cannot hide anything from it. If you dont mind sacrificing abit on the quality, you can also compare the the Ideal cuts from HOH. At least they would still provide the ASET for them.

I think usually people would go meyson for wedding band actually.. Did u try looking at the ideal range at HOH? You can try asking for a high 0.4x G VS2.. Wouldn't look too far off in terms of size from the top.. Unless u are really aiming for half carat.

Hi this quote was from 2017:
0.42 E VS1 $2650

This quote from 2016:
0.51 G VS1 / VS2 (can't rmb sorry) $3k

Both ideal cuts around July/Aug period, diamond only.. I believe if you go down on colour, can up carat size for the same price then u just save a bit more to spend slightly more than $3k for an ideal cut.. Bt of course look through the scopes first before committing anything :)

Looking amazing! How much does this cost? And how will yours look like?lol did u get an engagement ring too?

That's just the concept design. I'm waiting for them to give me one more version. Mine will be a simple rose gold band with a single small octagon diamond in the middle.

The engagement ring is from JP too. It's also an octagon with rose gold. So all the rings will be matchy matchy

wow surprised you can recognised it...

my diamond is only a 0.8.. not familiar with prices of 2carats so cannot make a guess πŸ˜‚

does JP provide free polishing for life btw?

understand diamond prices fluctuates- which quarter/ month is the ideal time to get it then?

Not dependent on quarter / month but strength of US dollar bah.. My partner and I booked our diamond cuz if compare to maybe 3 years back, prices dropped but he suspects will go up from here..

Have any of you exp ur Partner wanting or expecting a certain carat.but you couldn’t afford or would I say exceeded your Budget. Would you still buy the eg.1 carat but lower the specs or u get a smaller carat but better specs. However, she mentioned many times it has to b 1 carat.
One day I said β€œbut big but nt bling den how?”she said β€œ cannot must be big and bling” I told her I will get the best and bling. Btw, Budget 10k including setting.

10k enuff wat y worry

Not enough.my 10k Budget is including side diamond setting and gst.

Then i think best is to walk into a shop together, let her realise how much a 1 ct ring would cost and let her decide if its worth to spend that much money. With 10k, you're probably only looking at low 0.5x CT diamond ring (assuming you're buying from the high end stores). Those other stores can probably give you 0.6x/low 0.7x. if branding not important to her, your budget should be able to get high 0.8x CT diamond ring I think.

if you don't wanna do that but still wanna make her happy then your only option is to up your budget lo. But if you up your budget, what's the point of having it πŸ˜‚

Ultimately I feel best is to spend within your means and as a couple, decide on where is best to channel your money.

I didn't mind a diamond simulant as I felt better to spend money on our house haha but well, my partner was insistent on a real diamond for engagement ring at least. Initially his budget was $10k. Then he dropped it to $8k and to be honest I felt sad? HAHAHA cuz I couldn't get my 1ct diamond, or even anywhere near it lol.. Bt eventually our chosen diamond has a good meaning behind it, though not super ideal but we're both satisfied with it :)

So yes, see what you're comfortable with, to involve her or not and decide from there! :)
