Hi guys I’m back again. Here are the scopes for the 2 ideal diamonds I’m looking at.
0.47 G VS1 - $2950
0.48 G VS1 - $3000
Or wait out for a 0.44-0.45 G VS2 super ideal cut for around the same $2900-$3000?
Would appreciate your comments![]()

Are those Ideal cuts from Hoh? If you can't see any size between the Super ideal 0.45 and Ideal 0.47, then I'll go for the Super Ideal for the peace of mind. VS1 and VS2 wont be any to tell the difference anyway.
Hi all shifus, can anyone please help to give some advise for the following stone. 0.61, F, VVS2, Solasfera.
Is it ok?
How come my GIA report got no angle of the stone ar?

Direction A is better. Direction B just look like normal square diamond. Are you doing yours in platinum or white gold?
Definitely go with A! That's the whole purpose of an Octagon!
Thanks! I've confirmed with them on Direction A already. Now my boss is considering to put side diamonds or the halo on it now. Haizzz. Luckily JP still allow me to change.
Yes they are ideal cuts from HOH. That was my exact thoughts however as mentioned by my Sales rep that 0.45 G color super ideals are not that common and I gave myself until the end of this month to purchase my ring.
Fingers crossed that there will be a suitable SIC for me by the end of the month.
So i guess the 0.47 should be the general consensus between this 2 ideal cuts?
Hi, got quoted from JP for the following
SIC cut 0.51 G vs1 - 3700
SIC cut 0.46 D vs1 3350
Leaning towards 0.51, however its ags cert and dated back to mar 2014. Any thoughts?
Hi I got mine SIC cut 0.52 G VS1 - $4200 inc settings. Did u compare the D with the G color diamond? I haven’t got mine crafted but lately I saw one of my friend recently got engaged and hers is a colored D so I started having doubts about mine hahaa. Did u managed to find any obvious difference between the D and the G? And why would you lean towards the 0.51 G instead of the D? Sorry for so many questions.just curious.
Couldn't really tell the difference honestly. If the 0.46 was a e/f color i probably would have taken that. Cause paying that extra for a d color just didnt sit too well with me. When did u get urs btw?
I got mine 0.54 E VS1 at 4250 exclude settings.
For me, I can tel the difference if put tgt (of cuz) and I can tel u which is D, E, F, and G.
However, in the end I choose this spec is due to the diamond proportional is wat I am looking for (not looking at colour and clarity).
What difference are we supposed to look at. Is G supposedly more yellow?
