Recently, i just made a visit to White Dwarf and was offered the viewing of the various diamonds. But I would like to seek some alternative views on the ASET pics that I took. To me, i feel the third one is the best among them but I would like to seek help from the bros here.

Recently, i just made a visit to White Dwarf and was offered the viewing of the various diamonds. But I would like to seek some alternative views on the ASET pics that I took. To me, i feel the third one is the best among them but I would like to seek help from the bros here.

Not sure if I’m seeing it right, all the images the middle round ring red tone seems to be fade, are they all leakages?

I believed it might be due to the way the picture is taken. It was taken with an iphone. So the Color contrast may not appear as clear.

It’s not the contrast KinoChoco was talking about but the backlight.

- Notice that on a white background or backlit, light leakages will be white
- lower light return could also be a weaker red
- that’s why on a black background it could be red
- and on your reddish orange background, it’s abit hard to tell

A simple way is actually to screen print a white background on your iPhone, when u are there, get a pair of tweezers, then use the aset scope to view the stone over the iPhone.

But if the stones are actually showing a weaker light return as opposed to light leakages, they are actually not too bad. It’s just the price for it then.

Personally D is too much of a color premium for me.
Faint fluorescent - just make sure u compare with other stones and make sure it’s not hazy or milky.
I also dun tend to avoid flat caret weights except at the 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5c as those are the biggest price jumps/drops

I got lucky, I was quite fuss free and gave him a lot of trust and trusted his recommendation. He said he likes me because I trusted him and gave me a 10 percent.

Finally got the time to upload my ring photos. Its a Super Ideal Cut from JP, 0.54 G V1. Been playing around with the camera and torchlight to capture the bling. Tried to capture the reflection of the diamonds. haha

Thumbs up for Avery in making the whole process smooth and easy.
I shall say it is indeed technical but she made me understand it in a way that was easy. She even suggested to me some potential proposal spots in Korea when I casually mentioned my plan to do it overseas. Didn't expect that from her at all. Their customer services is another level.

What camera did you use? How did u get a photo of those 8 black arrows so clearly?

Most would talk about House of Hung with ideal cuts for less.
Someone posted on white dwarf earlier with fairly decent ASET images.
There’s also Poh Kim in lower delta/Bukit merah
Of course, there’s also the online route if u game for it

The other way to get a bigger caret is certainly to look at your own personal preference and tolerance. At under 1C, most would not be able to tell a clarity difference of Vvs and vs2.
On the color front, I’m happy to go down to H and I... all these factors will get u a bigger caret for the same price
