I’m curious why you are so adamant on the stones from dropshippers.
U talk about the higher cost of in-house stones by online vendors for a variety of reasons but you fail to admit that they are providing you with more information on the cut quality of the stone (something u rank highly)
And then you talk about possibly upgrading. What then do these dropshippers offer in terms of upgrading? And if not, what then is a realistic selling cost, 50% off? How many jewellers do u know of that will buy back your stone, especially one that they did not sell u...
A quick filter of 0.6 E vs1-2, triple excellent stones from bluenile retail for $2.6-4k. Why then the price variation, would it not perhaps be the fact that there is a difference in cut quality?
Does choosing the cheapest one show that you won’t kena carrot and that’s the true value of the stone? You only have to go back a few hundred pages to see many instances of pple who regretted buying from BN.
You talk about being illogical to get a GIA cert. Is $40 too much to pay?

point stated doesn't constitute to the difference between house stone vs BN WF LX MT
by purchasing the stones to keep in house, a higher markup of the diamond is required due to....
selling is a possibility as some people do upgrade their diamonds over time and also knowing the true value of the diamond without being a carroted is just as important.
