Has anyone collected or has more real world pictures of the decagon or new white series diamonds from JP? Seems promising so far

Hard to resize esp if your wife wants to wear it before/after pregnancy ( mine did ) , and risk of the melee coming off with daily wear ..

Thanks for the comments! I brought my gf down to JP to see. Got too many cuts to choose from liao and since its a once in a lifetime purchase, I might as well let her choose what she really wants. Abit less romantic I know, but I'll keeping the proposal date a secret and she doesnt know the exact specs that I'll be choosing.

She decided on the Decagon diamond. Was blown away by how bling it was. Never knew a diamond could be this sparkly. She even said if its so sparkly, I dont even have to get such a big one. Hahaha.

For those that got the Decagon, I have a few questions;
1. Has anyone received their Decagon yet and how long did it take?
They told me they'll try for 1-2 months, but there's only 1 diamond cutter that is able to cut it and they're getting alot of pre-orders. So there might be some delays.
2. How accurate is their grade estimates? They gave me a range like E-F, VS1-VS2 that will come out.
3. All their White series are AGS certificates (not GIA). Is AGS ok? The only one I know is GIA.

AGS is better than GIA. They have a stricter Cut scale and also grades the light performance. GIA is more generic on the Cut and their ''Excellent'' range is very wide.

AGS also got show the clarity plot diagram to see where the inclusions are at in the diamond. GIA will only have it for the bigger 1ct sizes.

Thanks! The vid was helpful. I did some research and read that the folks in US preferred AGS more than GIA. And only the better cut ones will be AGS graded.

Replied to everyone who PMed me about my oval. Sorry didn't see all the PMs in my inbox. For those that want to know, my Oval hearts and arrows I custom cutting is a .7ct F to G and VS1 to VS2 cost 5.5-6.5k with the setting in white gold.

The new oval is really a whole new level from the old oval cuts man.

I have an 0.83 octagon from JP. Always told my hub that i want to upgrade the diamond size on our 5th anniversary, but chanced upon moissanite and got it instead.

The moissanite has a more disco and fiery effect compared to a diamond. The bottom ring is my wedding band from JP. :D happy with my purchase.

I saw the sample decagon in the store. Even the small 0.4ct one was damn sparkly. Can't imagine how the bigger ones would look like

Out of curiosity, has anyone received their Decagon diamond ring yet? I'm still waiting for mine to be cut and would like to see if anyone has finished doing up theirs.

Hey bro how much did you purchase your Decagon for?

I haven't received my Decagon yet, but they did update me on the grades it received. Mine was meant to be a 0.51-0.53ct, E-F, VS1-VS2. It came out to be a 0.52ct E VVS2. It went over the estimation and they stuck to the same price. So I got a free clarity upgrade :D I'm still waiting for the diamond to be sent back from the lab.

AGS is actually the better cert than GIA. AGS is more strict and they also grade the light performance. I would much rather AGS than the GIA. The AGS cert is bigger and more professional looking than GIA.

Hi there,

Has anyone used whiteflash before? Able to comment on your experience?
I am shopping for a proposal ring and I am considering the online option because I feel pressured by the salesperson when I visited their stores yesterday.

Ovals generally looks bigger than rounds. I just saw their new Ovals today. They look very big for the carat weight. But I personally prefer the Decagon for its sparkle.

JP Diamond Ring

Hi guys! I had an online consultation with their diamond specialist Eugene last week and it was really surprising that the session was so thorough and relatively easy to understand because of the techonology they developed for the web browser consultation. But I still prefer to see the diamonds in person so I actually walked in but they were actually full house and I was so shock! Luckily they were able to accommodate me last minute and I was assisted by Avery during my visit. She brought out the diamonds I was viewing from the live session and allowed me to compare them under different lightings which was what I wanted to see, especially outdoors!

It’s really amazing that the Decagon looks so bright and white even in person, at first I thought maybe it’s just the screen on the live session being bias but it was really that bright!! I had so many questions throughout actually but Eugene and Avery managed to address all my concerns so I was really glad that I decided to give them a try after hearing so much good reviews from my colleagues and friends as well.

They also shared with me a little more about their Japanese Master Diamond Setter Miyabi and I was so impressed by his craftsmanship. They also manage to request for Mr.Miyabi to help me do a crafting video montage because I wanted to add something special to my proposal plans and I think she’s going to love seeing how much effort they put into her ring!
Anyone who have already received the crafting video already can share what yours looks like?

Really appreciate JannPaul being so transparent and ethical. Kudos to the team and shout out to Eugene & Avery for helping me on finding the perfect engagement ring! :s12:

Eugene also helped me with my wedding bands when I went back the 2nd round after my proposal ring from JP too.

I saw also some of their crafting videos posted on their Youtube, really beautiful and cool, definitely great as a montage for your wedding.

Hope yours turns out well!

Collected my decagon ring!! Total time taken was 2 months for the diamond to be cut and 1 month for the ring to be crafted. But it's all worth the wait!

Words cant describe how stunning and sparkly the diamond is. I took some photos with my phone. Sorry its abit blur. The cam keeps going out of focus because the sparkles was just too intense. The photo doesn't do the diamond justice at all.

The diamond is a 0.55 G VS1. Its amazing how bright the diamond is and I cant see any yellowness in the G at all. If I was to guess blindly, I would've even thought it was a D. Overall, the ring is very well made.

Their ring box is also very nice. There's the ring box which is inserted into another bigger metal box. Didn't expect a ring to come in a big outer box. Very classy.

Thanks for all the bros here with the tips and advice! Happy waiting for those who haven't received their decagons!
