Hi, has anyone tried using a blue gemstone to propose before? And any recommendations? My gf finds white diamonds too boring and wants something more different.
can you share a picture of your rings? if you dont want to share here, i can PM you about it too! Will it be ok?I got mine last year. My pair was about 2k for the guy and girls band (half eternity)

i think ok. 4th color grade (DEF then G) and vvs1. Check out how yellow it is first and if you/ fiancee will be bothered. Usually eyes can't see one since it's white series. Can someone give me feedbacks on this diamond? AGS 104116393043, 0.81 cts VVS1 G (JP WS Decagon)
I was quoted 10.4k for this stone and it was in stock at JP so it will save me a few weeks to get my ring ready. Is this a good deal?

Like Sotongster said, SIC is 57 facets.
Pretty much all round shape diamonds that you see everywhere are 57 facets. Then SIC is just to indicate the quality. Like SIC > Ideal Cut > Triple EXC. Though these labels are usually used very loosely as some shops are selling Triple EXC diamond as ''SIC''. So you need to do your own due diligence.
In a nutshell, SIC is meant to be the best cut precision standard that's possible for a 57 facets round.
White Series is JP's new cut that exceeds the realm of the SIC. It's like the upgraded version of the SIC as they found a new way to cut it better with higher light performance. It's not necessarily about the number of facets but the facet design/placement, proportions, etc. They have a few different cuts in white series and not all of them are 111 facets.
sic has 57 facets while the white series has 111.
think your regular 57 facets diamond with more 'supervised precision' - or that's how they like to put it.
I see... Thanks! I saw that they have emerald cut in the white series too. I thought they would all be in the hearts and arrows cut. Im considering the white series emeralds for earrings![]()

Hi, I was quoted 6.5 for this diamond. What is the quoted price for this if I may ask?
Thank you.
Hi,Decagon 0.678 G VVS1. Top cut and rare size.
Personally, I think a VS1 is sufficient already, but for for your high 0.6ct++ rare size, I doubt they would have stock for it.
Can ask for opinion here.
For the following Heart Shape Diamond. Should i be very concern of the Clarity Characteristic?
the diamond from the 360views look quite ok to me.
The shop assistant mentioned to me:
"a diamond have more characteristic doesn't mean is bad , because the inclusions are more but small rather than is less but obvious"
"so by naked eyes VS range usually is good enough for eye clean, but for VVS will be better as under 10x magnification are hardly to see impurities"
The 360 view on the website is the actual diamond at 50 time magnify.

hi thanks for your feedback
when I ask about indented natural. this is what the sale assistant told me.
"for natural earth diamond is common , indented natural inclusion is part of the original rough gemstone surface that drops below the surface of the polished diamond. Is a part of the rough stone that wasn't touched during its polishing"
i was concern about the natural indented well.
how about this for your opinion
