Any one got quote for their 1.5-1.59 carat LG?
Is it fixed price for the range or depends on the cut we choose?

Do you all usually get the wedding band from Jann Paul/HOH when u get their engagement ring? Or usually where do u get the wedding band?
We got our wedding bands from them as well. Receipt says HOH but box is JP, lol. We did so because we wanted to customise our ring design. I feel that if you are going for generic designs for bands, you may be able to get cheaper elsewhere, esp during sales.

What's the price difference for the nova natural and LG at JP? Anyone recently got any quote to share for a estimate? What made you decide to get a LG or a natural one besides the price? TIA :)

It seems that what @chesterchew said is true! JP finally launched their new marquise diamond (Marquise X), their new ring collection, bridal also quite nice. Anybody seen it in store yet? Their Marquise X also seems to have a huge face up size compared to all their other cuts, ratio of 2 meaning even 0.7-1ct+ will be super impressive. Feel like getting this for my mom, I know she likes marquise cuts. If anyone seen it yet, can share some pics on hands or thoughts please! :)

Have you purchased? @babyrobo Which did you get in the end?
I know for naturals can be 50-95%++ more depending on the carat weight. What size are you considering? Maybe i can ping my specialist, alot of my friends bought their nova cut too, for lab or natural it depends on how open your Gf is, as JP ensures their nat/lab is of the best quality!

Not yet! Didn't have time to go down. Finger is around size 10 so am thinking around 0.7ct? Would it be possible to help check with your specialist the approximate price for both nat and lab? I'm bought in by the 137 cutting and would love to make a decision knowing the price range. Did your friends most brought natural or lab. Thanks a lot!

@babyrobo My DS said it's around 1.7k+ (0.7carat+) for their Octagon Nova Lab, only for fancy shapes will increase a little around 200-300 more. She also said the Octagon nova is currently oos for 0.7-0.8ct+, got some 0.9-1ct+ left. If your proposal is within 3-4 months, best to call in and book a viewing soon
For Naturals, she said can only give a rough approx. guide as always fluctuate: 0.68-0.72ct G+ colour around 5,900 - 6,700.

Alot of my friends bought during precovid stage so only have natural at that time, but many of us are buying lab now for our diamond ring "upgrade". No right or wrong, but just see what your partner prefers, and how open/flexible she is. As i know for some ladies, they only want natural..

Hi all! Finally brought my SO for a visit to JP but we are in such a dilemma. Went into JP looking for an oval cut diamond, and their ovals are beautiful & very sparkly, has anyone seen them before? I think previously was only the shorter ratio 1.2++ but this time round they have another one which my SO really likes, ratio is at 1.35.

My SO is dark skinned and has quite long fingers, she has always wanted an oval diamond, but they are fully sold out for the sizes we want 1.65-1.7ct.. Do yall think I should just upgrade it to a 1.83ct? Personally we find it a little too big, and their 1.59 seems slightly lacking on her fingers. I want to get her the very best, and the 1.59 is an E internally flawless - which they mentioned it's something very rare.

Attaching some videos below for everyone's kind opinions!

Here are the certifications too:

What's your SO's view of this? If it's going to bug her that her diamond is not internally flawless, then go for the 1.59 ct. If she's wavering even 0.1% on it, just go for the IF... but you know your SO best. :o
If the 1.83 ct is a VVS or VS and both of you can't see anything even with the provided scope, and she's perfectly fine with that, great. I looked at the images, without any info on where to look and what to look for, I can't see anything.

My SO did mostly all the research lol, she has been looking at alot of many stores and certs online. We went to about 4 places, and there is no ovals there that she really likes other than JP ones.. The difference is really huge, and she also went to read about jp gcal 8x certificate. I think only they carry this kind of cert, this is the link she sent me but I'm not the expert in this, she is the one more enthu oops -

Here's also the videos i took (do look for Avery if any bros are going to JP, she is very helpful and gave many great suggestions even when we just wanted a simple band!) pardon my very shaky and amateur iphone skills

now we are torn apart which size to go for as both of them looks good, any bros got any suggestions or feedback will be very welcome!

Hello bros, I went down to JP today and I finally got to view their octagon nova, anybody got this cut before?

Finally ready to settle down liao, and my SO told me she really wanted something unique but to surprise her. Saw a few diamonds, and this octagon nova really stood out to me with the snowflake pattern. Luckily they have stock for this 1.18ct in the 1.1ct+ ranges as my timeline is rather tight, can share your guidance with me please as I'm first time seeing diamond rings. Big fan of JP tho, been following their account for awhile

Can't post link but my certificate is GCAL 342890101. Any lao jiao can help me see see from the GCAL website?

They also shared their catalogue with me, looks very nice and new, got all kinds of video i never see before on their instagram. Can PM me then I can send the link..

I also went through their 1hour+ session today and just receive my scope images today. Anyone can share their octagon nova scope images so that I can compare to see?

Hi Bro I PMed you, let me know what new catalogue JP has, very curious on their new stuff. Sharing the cert link here: https://www.gcalusa.com/certificate-search.html?certificate_id=342890101

This looks very nice, if Im not wrong Octagon Nova is launched early this year and a few of my friends have to wait 3-4 months. You are lucky that they have stocks for this prime size, looks really good & 8X certified. F VVS1 is a good combination, colourless range & best clarity you can ask for. Its even type 2A on the cert which means its the purest Lab material ever. @LWZ is right, JP is immaculate when it comes to their diamonds QC, but won't hurt to share here.

Hi all, went to JP today... Just wanna ask some laojiaos here.. will most likely get from them the round 10 as it sparkles more than a regular round cut. SO really likes it.

1. Is it advisable against 4 prongs? SO likes the look but don't mind 6 prongs if it's stronger or can "hold" better

2. SO prefers 18k yellow gold for the setting. Is it advisable for the prong to be white gold so the diamond don't turn yellow? Or does it not matter if the diamond grade is vv1-vs1 DEF.

3. Will the 18k yellow gold fade over time to be a more faint yellow? To my understanding from another jeweller is that if you chose 18k in white gold or rose gold. They are mainly plated over. Hence after 3-5 years it will start fading to become yellow gold which is the original color. I'm wondering if this yellow gold is the deep yellow gold color or faint? Like almost champagne gold in color if that makes sense.

Thanks in advance!
