Anyone tried getting from August Bespoke? Tried contacting Jann Paul via whatsapp and email but their replies are super duper slow.

I was asking for quotation for a ring I have in design from August Bespoke

Three stone with centre white diamond being 0.7~0.78ct, flanked by two smaller blue diamonds, rose gold pave band

Was quoted 8k+

Lab grown diamonds

Wanted to ask around whether this is the market rate price? Would appreciate if any shifu can shed some light

My acquaintance got from August Bespoke 1.9ct single diamond emerald cut E Colour, VS1 clarity, his was 7k

I do know that my design of the ring is a bit intricate and there a lot of diamonds on the pave band, maybe that’s why higher cost than his?

your acquaintance's diamond is about right......for labgrown, around 3k /per carat for emerald/cushion is about right. Round cut add 10-15% premium.

For everything labgrown, and for your small center stone.... i feel its abit ex. Pave setting(including band) probably 1-1.2k thereabouts, meaning 3 stones <1ct costing you 7k. Michael trio also has colored diamonds maybe you can get a quote from there.

From your description the design seems to be the centerpiece of your ring, I think maybe can save abit going for maybe VS2/ F clarity, hopefully that will lower the price to suit your budget.

As for august bespoke, browsed the website, they seem to have another philosophy, they use the diamonds, to bring out the best in their design, compared to JP which make the diamond the sole centerpiece, the design just helps to bring out the best in the diamond. No right no wrong, two different ways of creating a ring.

@marooo Can you share more details on your ring design? 8K seems very pricey for a 0.7ct+ lab grown even with a ring with pave.. (unless its a Verragio i know they are priced 4-7K just for the ring alone)

Have JP got back to you? They can be slower closer to the weekends, I was there once and the phone was ringing non stop. I think their Lab 0.7ct+ only 2K+, and plus ring maybe 1.5-2.5K more? If yours is super duper fancy with many diamonds from what I am reading lol. 8K is too expensive bro.

I ended up going for a larger central diamond for my design with Jann Paul 1~1.09ct centre diamond and opted for their new Octagon Nova cut which just looks amazing and with the same design. Ended up being 5.9k

I think this is the first time someone posted about the shield shape, very unconventional but very unique! It's the first time I seen a hearts and arrows shield too, i dont think you should be too worried about your choice as it means something to both of you. Just curious also how you intend to customize it? One of my friend got it last year but his shield was a trilogy ring not as the main diamond so im curious how will you ask JP to design it for you? PS if you can share the scopes too, im super interested to see the HD hearts and arrows lol.

It's going to be a three prong twisted solitaire setting, I'll share it here when I get the final ring! As the shape of the stone is already unconventional, I wanted the ring to be more classic so it can be worn on the daily. Each prong is on each tip of the stone so there are two orientations to wear the ring.

I'll try to get the scopes and share it here!

@Alibabahuat sick bro! I didn't know they have a D colour, esp VVS1 instock. you must be really lucky to get your hands on their decagon. Have you checked all the scopes & the diamond in person? Esp the outdoors light. From what I know jp is very strict for their naturals, esp on brownish/grey hues (they reject this), & only accept yellowish hues. D VVS is very rare too, my colleague was mentioning that they are left with G for many ranges the last they visited.

The quote seems reasonable too, if im not wrong jp only price their decagon or the round 10 h&a 5-10% higher compared to normal 57 rounds in the market due to the carat loss.

hey bro did jp got back? I didnt know they got princess shape, but i know paul does crazy stuff. Do update us here if you have any news! but their lab collection all 10 h&a all costs the same, likely 2K++ ranges? I can't imagine how crazy your ring is if August bespoke quoted you 5-8k...

Btw if you guys are looking for fancy diamonds, can try to whatsapp/email them, I recently read on some US forums talking about JP, seems like there will be a new marquise and pear coming soon!

Hey man, i was quoted about $2k+ for a 0.8c diamond from JP. Does seem a lot more reasonably priced than August Bespoke.

It will probably cost about $3k+ for the final ring.

Trying to decide between the Octagon, Decagon or round? They all kinda look the same to me..lol
