For Poh Kim, and many other retailers, the diamonds in the wedding band (esp. eternity wedding band) tends to be the "leftovers" from the blocks of raw diamond - G/H or even K, VS2 to SI2. Jannpaul's diamond quality is still decent for their eternity wedding bands: D/E/F and VS2 to VS1. If you wish, they even let you look at the individual diamonds using their light scope.

Of course, at those carat ranges, don't expect super ideal cut, and the color / clarity may not even be obvious to the wearer upon close inspection.

I suppose if price is your only concern, go with the retailers. if you bought a White Series ring from Jannpaul and you want the diamonds in your wedding band (esp. eternity wedding bands) to be of a certain / similar quality, then go back to Jannpaul.

For reference, Jannpaul quoted me $1,300 for an 18K half-eternity wedding band with 12 diamonds - D to F, VS2 and above.

If the quality/look is much superior for Jannpaul's wedding bands, then I guess the price premium is worth it.

If you're getting a wedding band featuring an eternity design or several melee diamonds, I guess you would want your diamonds to be similar in quality, esp. if your partner is wearing the wedding band with their engagement ring.

I just went down to JannPaul today to confirm my Decagon diamond and at the same time went to see the wedding bands from them (House of Hung).

I was also quoted $1,300 for 18k half-eternity wedding band with 12 diamonds. And for your info, the diamonds are not the very small kind which you see in those thin bands. The total carat is 0.53 and the consultant was very confident of their diamonds. She even gave us the hearts and arrow scope for us to see the diamonds on the wedding band. You really can see the arrows and it sparkles very well. For the guys wedding band, we were quote $1,100 for a plain 18k solid white gold band, 4mm thick. And it feels quite heavy.

I left with my bf and went to those popular jewelry stores in the malls to compare cos I was wondering if I’m getting a good deal lol. Turns out, all the half-eternity bands and plain bands (for guys) are more expensive than the quote we got from JannPaul (or House of Hung in this case for their wedding bands). What’s more, the quality is really not there as compared to House of Hung’s one. Overall on average, I was quoted $1,600 and above for half-eternity bands. The most exp quote was $2,500 for 0.3 total carat for a half-eternity band. Crazy. And a plain 18k white gold band was on average $1,600. Crazy too.

A lot of ppl say JannPaul is expensive. But honestly after going there and comparing to other popular jewelers, their price is really competitive, and I even think it’s value for money lol. They are really transparent and you know what you are getting. They will give you a “diamond class” on your first visit so you are educated before making a purchase. Guys, you will be spending thousands of dollars so wouldn’t you wanna know if you are getting smth that’s of quality and value? Just my opinions

Yes, full eternity is chio but cannot resize in the future.
However, I think it will be covered by your hand. Otherwise you can go for 3/4.

Hmmm, both jp and hoh is different brand even thou they are under the same roof. Jp carry their own diamonds, like white series 10HA, which you can’t get it from hoh.
